I do believe this is the fella that ran for the other senate seat and lost to Lankford in the primary. It would have been a good opportunity to show some diversity on our side of the aisle and he checked all boxes. Now the paleface Lankford is a big disappointment. This one is on the GOP primary voters on Oklahoma. They don’t like blacks. Perhaps they’ll learn this time.

You are remembering correctly - last time he ran for office was in 2014 for that Senate seat now held by Lankford. I was hoping to see him throw his hat in the ring again when the new of Inhofe stepping down came to light.
To be fair to Oklahoma, he was the Speaker of the House previously, so they were okay with him to that extent.
I love T.W. Shannon and am very glad he’s running. He should not have ran against Lankford and it had nothing to do with the color of his skin. Lankford was very well known/respected in the state.
He isn’t just black...he is also Chickasaw Indian. So he checks two different boxes.
Lankford is an absolute phony. Groveling to the BLM thugs. Disgusting and evil.
