Alternate conspiracy theory: HAI doesn't exist. It's just an advanced machine learning protocol designed to take in topic suggestions, filter though them, and turn them into ok videos. If that were true, that would explain why we rely so heavily on your viewer topic suggestions, so submit yours and, if we use it, we (the computer) will send you a free HAI t-shirt: http://halfasinteresting.com/suggest.The Conspiracy Theory that the Middle Ages Never Happened | April 9, 2020 | Half as Interesting
So....would this mean Mohammed never existed either??
The global warmageddon cult like Michael Mann erase cooling periods like the Dark Ages and the Little Ice Age in their climate “models”.
But I can believe that 2007 was just a conspiracy by the Paparazzi and Britney's over controlling father. Yeah that's the ticket!
Balderdash.
Stephen Fetchit character: “I’s always in the dark.”
Warner Oland character: “Condition obvious.”

As a matter of fact, college-level history professors haven’t described the transition from antiquity to the early middle ages as the “dark ages” in decades. Most historians will tell you that term only really applied to the Roman identity, anyway, and that non-Roman cultures experienced a “naissance” during this time.
Sounds like a great guest for George Noory’s Coast to Coast AM.
And the Earth is flat and the center of the universe!
Pontificates have been recorded since St. Peter in about 30 AD. There is no gap in the 600’s or any other time.
On the time scale we’re looking at here, C-14 dating would not miss by 300 years...
If this story is true, then China’s entire T’ang Dynasty (618-906) didn’t exist, and the An Lushan Rebellion (755-763), which some say was the bloodiest war after WWII, never took place. How could Otto and Sylvester cook up a fake history of China at a time when there was virtually no contact between that country and Europe?
the dark ages corresponds to the period in which the moslems ravaged much of southern europe.
And the earth is flat.
This would have had to have been an enormous conspiracy, with participants in many countries. In England, for example, this was a very important time period with the formation of the English kingdom, Alfred the Great, the beginning of English literature. That would have all have to have been made up. Ditto for the other countries. And what about the rise of Islam? Sounds crazier to believe the conspiracy theory than the standard accepted theory. But, as with any such theory, it’s going to have its adherents. I mean, look at our political world and what people accept!
There’s a competing theory that a buncha time “disappeared” by a simple dating convention.
Before years were written as xxxx AD the custom was rather than an Anno Domini suffix, Christian years were prefixed with the first letter of Jesus’ name.
See the problem?
The letter J did not yet exist. Jesus was originally spelled with an I.
The cornerstone of a building built in, say, 372 would have I372 carved in it. A modern observer would think it read 1372 and was therefore a thousand years younger, that pretty much nothing of note was built before 1000 AD!
Better tell the Hebrew and the Chinese ...
Stupid beyond belief.
We have archeology and even documents to show that the ‘Dark Ages’ happened.
