David Bennett died on Tuesday after his condition began to deteriorate several days ago, the medical center said. He was given palliative care and was able to communicate with his family during his final hours, according to the news release.
Bennett had terminal heart disease, and had received a transplant on January 7. Bennett was deemed ineligible for a conventional heart transplant or an artificial heart pump after reviews of his medical records, and the pig heart was the only available option, the medical center said at the time.
Revivicor, a regenerative medicine company based in Virginia, had provided the heart. Three genes that are responsible for rejection of pig organs by human immune systems were removed from the donor pig, and one gene was taken out to prevent excessive pig heart tissue growth. Six human genes responsible for immune acceptance were inserted.
The medical center said the transplanted heart performed well for several weeks without any sign of rejection.

I think we have to assume that’s the case because others have been taken off transplant waiting lists for not being vaccinated.
This is sad. I am very anxious to see what finally got him (the cause).
There are some big bucks and smart people working on xenotransplantation. Time will tell, but we’ve come a long way in the process and my guess is that if it was a rejection or some malfunction of the heart that this problem will be solved and the procedure will be as common as human-to-human transplants in the years ahead.
As a kidney failure patient, this is something I know a little about.
Exactly.....so can we also safety assume there is at least a chance that shot had something to do with this poor fellow passing after his transplant?

Taking people off donor lists because they wouldn’t take a vaxx, then force the desparate patient to agree to an experimental pig heart transplant...

Well, when you stuff a pig’s heart in someone and they die, you don’t exactly have to go searching for the cause of death.
That’s too bad.
The first heart transplant recipient only lived for 18 days. Now they live for many years.
You gotta start somewhere...
