Transient increase in plasma HIV RNA after COVID-19 vaccination with mRNA-1272

Here, we report the case of a man living with HIV who, having previously achieved stable viral suppression, experienced a transient period of non-suppressible viremia after receiving a dose of COVID-19 vaccine.

The patient, a 65-year-old heterosexual male, was diagnosed with HIV infection in March 2020, during a diagnostic workup for chronic liver disease due to former alcohol abuse.

In April 2021, the patient, by then suppressed for more than 6 months, with a negative clinical history and negative anti-N antibodies for SARS-CoV-2, received the first dose of mRNA-1273 vaccine (Moderna Biotech) in the context of the Italian vaccination campaign.

…When observed, most VL increases occurred 7–14 days after vaccination. A recent randomized controlled trial compared the effects of several vaccination schedules versus placebo in suppressed PLWH and did not find effects on plasma RNA, but showed an increase in HIV cell-associated RNA,CD4+ and CD8+ T-cell activation

Previous studies have found transient increases in HIV VL after vaccination for influenza, Streptococcus pneumoniae, and hepatitis B virus among others, whereas others have shown no effect. A recent randomized controlled trial compared the effects of several vaccination schedules versus placebo in suppressed PLWH and did not find effects on plasma RNA, but showed an increase in HIV cell-associated RNA, CD4+ and CD8+ T-cell activation markers, as well as HIV-specific CD8+ responses.

The most likely mechanism explaining the increased HIV transcription observed in the context of standard vaccines administered to ART-suppressed PLWH is a generalized inflammatory response with cytokine production, able to activate bystander cells harboring latent HIV, rather than activation of infected vaccine-specific T-cells.

… It appears that this is the first report of a plasma HIV RNA increase after vaccination with an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine in a patient with documented adherence, possibly reflecting induced proviral transcription.

Well Dr. Ryan Cole has seen a major increase in various diseases as sample numbers though his lab after vaccinations started. Seems like pretty solid indication something is going on with the vaccines lowering immune system response.

I see hundreds of posts daily on Twitter from doctors whose 1 to 3 times vaxxed patients had their cancers leap into high gear. It piqued my interest because I had cancer in 1985. Surgery and 3000 RADs through my gut "fixed" it. Since then, I have to monitor alpha feto protein and beta HCG as "markers". The beta HCG was 5.0 in 2018. Recently it moved to 6.0. Normal is under 3.0. I have a potential goblin waiting to step on the gas. Putting the vaxx in would be a really bad idea. My doctor concurred and wrote a medical exemption.

Ryan Cole, MD has done some excellent pathology comparisons on his patients pre and post vaxx. His observation is immune system depression and increased cancers. Thanks for the reply. My cell numbers have remained just slightly north of 3, 3.2. I don’t really wanna risk them going haywire with a vax. The battle was a.tough one, and to be defeated by a vax would be horrible

I agree. Just wish they could definitively make a connection, then the pukes pushing,the vaccinations would,be outed, and Canada would.have some explaining to do for,fighting the truckers freedom rallies

I think there is basis for each of these concerns in that we don’t know how many people have latent HIV and haven’t tested or tested and didn’t know of any interaction with the vaccination. Yeah, that would get messy.
