Ahh, good point. As long as there was no “residue”.

Is it illegal or is it that the federal banking laws don’t allow regular banks to deposit the cash?

Forcing the dispensary owners and growers to figure out a way to store their cash.

In colorado it’s become a bit of a cottage industry for a lot of veterans. The folks in the lot business buy old banks and hire security companies mes to transport and guard the locations.

Sorry but those days never existed, it was a lie created to create the false legend of the FBI

They’ll say it was illicit drug proceeds.

All about the cash.

And guess what? San Bernadino gets 80% of the seizure money.

And so many actually believe it.

And the Feds that I know just shrug their shoulders when confronted with the many abuses that have become public.

None of the money can be deposited in a federally insured bank.

Marijuana possession is illegal under federal law. There is no federal exception for medical marijuana.

And yet, the District of Columbia allows medical marijuana.

This country is a God-awful mess.

Go for it! The Fed should seize every bit of drug money they can, it’s still illegal federally. It should be everywhere. No sympathy

Clearly you’ve never been in the position of having exhausted all prescription antiemetics available legally on the market. You spend your days puking virtually nonstop and see how quickly you turn to cannabis when the prescription meds don’t work anymore.

Medical cannabis has a place, and although I’m of the opinion that it should just be legalized already, it is an absolute last resort for me. Being in kidney failure in your twenties isn’t exactly a cake walk. No, it wasn’t caused by drugs or booze.

My comment was about dope pushers.

Are you under the impression the person in this article was somehow involved in what you called “Medical cannabis”?

Cannabis is so generic.

I’m sure some pot won’t work for anti-emesis.

Others better. Probably the good sinsemilla bud works best.

What do you do about quality control? What standards or validation so are there for effective cannabis based anti-emesis?

And what part of the Constitution grants FedGov the power to ban a plant? It required a Constitutional amendment for them to try to get rid of ethanol, so what’s so different here that the Constitution already covers it?

I know it's FR tradition to not read the article, but at a minimum try reading the excerpt! It doesn't need to "give an impression", it explicitly says medical dispensaries..

Until it's your drug of choice that had been made illegal. Like Coffee? Do you smoke, chew, dip, or vape? Like beer or wine, or even, heaven forbid, hard liquor? I can't believe all these Freepers are cheering federal confiscation of property because the Fed, driven by the FBIs "Reefer Madness" propaganda campaign, have deemed that an organically derived product that had been used for centuries is illegal. There is a reason the law is known as the Controlled Substance List. It's all about control. By them. Not the market. The Fed.

One last time, for all the FBI/Fed tools out there, it is a state issue. It is a commie issue. They will and have tried to use the same justification to ban guns, as a health issue via the FDA and DEA, meaning by fiat, as these two trusted agencies determine what goes on the schedule with the Controlled Substance Act.

The Constitution now says whatever 5 out of 9 Supreme Court Justices want it to say.

It began in 1942, when the Supreme Court decreed in Wickard v. Filburn that the federal government can prohibit a farmer from growing wheat for consumption by his own family under the Interstate Commerce Clause. The Supreme Court doubled down in Gonzales v. Raich in 2005 and decreed that the federal government can prohibit the possession and use of marijuana even if you grow it yourself for medicinal use.
