I have heard recently that dogs, coyotes, and wolves have started inbreeding.

Coy-dogs and wolf-dogs are not new at all. Been around for years. You can even purchase wolf-dogs with varying percentages of wolf.

Definitely has some dog DNA judging by the look in his eyes and angle of drooping ears. Definitely not coyote judging by fur.

Me too - I feel sorry for it. He looks like Wile E. Coyote after one of his traps backfired on him. Funny in the cartoons, not so much in real life.

They call them coydogs round abouts.

Couldn’t you put your poor ol’ schnauzer in some classier digs so he wouldn’t have anything to howl about? I did break one of my dogs from howling at the coyotes by rigging a water bucket over his house, which he got on top of to howl, and pulling a jerk-string whenever he lit it up. He filed a complaint but he quit talking to the coyotes.

Thank you for posting this story.
Such sad, sad eyes on this poor, neglected, baby. 😢

I hope he/she will find a caring forever home. ❤

It’s a dog. Snout is too long for coyote.

Take the fur coat of most familiar dog breeds, and you wouldn’t recognize them.
............................................
Several years ago there was some sort of mange that stripped the coats off a local black bears, and when seen occasionally on the side of old country roads really freaked out anyone who happened to see one.

We had what everyone thought was a coyote roaming a neighborhood here. When they finally caught it it was an abandoned dog eaten up with mange.
