Rep. Conor Lamb (D-PA) who has been considered a so-called moderate, on Monday also indicated he supports getting rid of the filibuster. He's running for the Senate to replace outgoing Sen. Pat Toomey, a Republican.Republican opponent Jeff Bartos was among those who quickly picked up on Lamb's threat to get rid of the filibuster, and Lamb engaged right back.
here in NY we call moderate dems “republicans”
No such thing as a “moderate Democrat”. “Moderate Democrats” are still killers, stealers and destroyers.
A “moderate Democrat” is the same as a RINO. Runs you over with a bus instead of a train.
Pretty Boy is running against the Frankenstein Monster in the Dem primary for Senate.
Uh, no! He struts about in a dress white UPMC uniform for campaign commercials and the like, but his entire 14 month "military" experience was riding a desk in Okinawa filing legal charges against garden variety service offenses.
It was a "direct enlistment" via the same entitlement connections as John F. Kerry. Did you know that he served in Viet Nam? At least there was a hot war going on at the time.
He’s never been a moderate except in the Nina of those who childishly continue to believe that being a JAG lawyer means you are a traditional American.
He’s just another turd trading on military chic. There’sa big market for democrats to pretend they don’t hate America by voting for tools like Conner.
So we counter a leftist like Lamb by running an Oprah moslem as a Republican. Pennsylvania was the birthplace of America, now it appears to be its graveyard.
Moderate Democrat is an extinct species. Today the term has as much basis in reality as the phrase “moderately pregnant.”
Same as Hunter Biden and Buttgig.
There are zero “moderate” dims.
Oz has some very impressive political skills.
He has been on the Fox News evening line up twice within the last month.
I knew his name, but I never heard him speak before.
Oz appears to be a centrist.
He has at least one position I read about and did not like, but I cannot recall it at the moment.
Oz might be the best we can hope for in PA.
The last time a real Conservative ran in PA, it was Rick Santorum, who got crushed by 18%.
It remains to be seen if a hedge fund manager with ties to former President Donald Trump, David McCormick, joins the Republican fray. Political analysts think he could replace the former GOP frontrunner, Sean Parnell, who dropped out two weeks ago despite having former President Trump's support.
That’s because Santorum was an idiot all by himself. See also Ted Cruz who massively underperformed relative to other republicans in Texas.
it doesn’t matter who runs as an Republican....
110% of registered voters will turn out in Philadelphia and the Demhole will win Philly by 55% to 50%
IOW, he's lying. He does that because he's a liar.
Oz might be the best we can hope for in PA. The last time a real Conservative ran in PA, it was Rick Santorum, who got crushed by 18%.
Santorum at least had the decency to go down fighting, embarrassing Casey in 3 nationally televised debates. He had no chance in 2006.
He (and his minions) did work their butts off with door to door campaigning while Rick Saccone, a 60ish frumpy college professor, depended mostly on television advertising to get his message out. Saccone also didn't make an issue of his far greater military experience whereas Lamb, strutting about in his USMC dress whites, made it the centerpiece of his campaign.
