We had not a single mandatory lockdown here in Japan, however we did comply more or less with all of the other elements of that advice including vaccinations, strict immigration rules mandating quarantines upon entry with GPS tracing and strict penalties if abridged, widespread mask-wearing, social distancing, reduction of people in crowded places such as limiting church attendance, bars, restaurants, contact tracing, etc and we are now a very small fraction of the US Covid infection and death rate… Look up the figures… And by the way nobody ever said the vaccines stop the virus 100%, they are no different than flu vaccines in that regard, however vaccinating reduces greatly the risk of both infection and severity of infection....for in the south African virus it is emerging precisely **because** of the extremely low vaccination on SA, (20%,) and that they’ve also chosen to vaccinate with dicey, crappy Red Chinese vaccines as well… I wish people would get a clue and figure this out.

When they first came out they said the vaxx would PREVENT covid. You can try and backtrack all you want. Its what they said. They only moved the goalposts when they realized the shot does nothing

“...they are no different than flu vaccines in that regard...”

There is no such thing as a “flu vaccine”. You can get a “flu shot” which may or may not keep you from contracting the flu. It may also help mitigate the effects of the flu if you contract it, but it is not a vaccine and does not provide you with immunity. A vaccine provides your body with immunity. If it doesn’t, it is NOT a vaccine.

Interesting observations, AmericanInTokyo. Good to hear in detail how other countries are handling it!

What figures? Governments including Japan have been lying about the numbers.

"vaccinating reduces greatly the risk of both infection and severity of infection"

Show us the evidence of this?  Last time I checked I read it was only 95% for 30 days, and then it drops.  Hence, why you will need boosters for the rest of your life.

Natural immunity gives you 99.98% per the CDC.
