Alec Baldwin’s wife Hilaria has shared a quote encouraging people to stop being negative towards other people when they are ‘enjoying something that isn’t hurting anyone’.
The tweet, which also suggested people instead ‘train themselves’ to be pleased for others’ happiness and ‘carry on with your life’, was shared by the mum of six to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday.
It read: ‘The next time you see someone enjoying something, that isn’t hurting anyone, that’s not your cup of tea instead of saying something negative train yourself to think to yourself “I’m glad they are happy” and carry on with your life [sic].’
This comes after she faced criticism for sharing a picture of the Baldwin family – including Alec – dressed up in Halloween costumes just weeks after he discharged a gun on the Rust movie set accidentally killing Halyna Hutchins, 42, and injuring director Joel Souza.
At the time Hilaria revealed that the couple had ‘rallied’ to give their kids a holiday after the ‘intense’ time, revealing that her kids’ happiness ‘warmed my mama heart.’
Lorraine Kelly called the photograph ‘very bizarre’ on her morning show as she and entertainment reporter Ross King reflected on the ‘horrendous’ accident, with the veteran presenter adding: ‘But as far as the photo and all of that go, she can do that and they can do their Halloween, of course they can, but they don’t necessarily need to share it I guess at this particular time.’

I’ll quit being negative when Alec is behind bars. Then, I’ll be bright, bubbly and positive. Just watch, Hillaria.
Some folks cannot read a room, or keep their mouths shut.
It’s not a bad sentiment, but it’s way too soon for her to expect it to be applied to her husband and family. Can they try to live their lives out of the public eye? Can they have a holiday for the kids without posting photos on social media? Right now, they are walking around with “kick me” signs on their backs, which they have put there themselves, so what does she expect?
Devil’s advocate: if I somehow accidentally killed someone at the office and you do accept it was accidental, I would not demand or expect my wife and kids to wear hair shirts for the rest of their lives and do hourly self flagellation in repentance of my situation. I probably would from an emotional state but I wouldn’t demand or expect it from my kids.
I think Alec Baldwin being seen having a grand old time is unseemly especially given his supposed “inconsolable” state. It does make him appear utterly lacking in empathy, remorse, and even just good judgement. His kids though ... why should they have to hide in a basement?
Passively lecturing her husband. Not bad but I still wouldn’t want to be her when he sees it.
If Alec is smart (which he isn’t), he will keep his lunatic wife far, far, far away from the courtroom when the wrongful death case the husband of the woman he killed goes to trial (assuming Alec doesn’t settle beforehand). She won’t be able to resist getting attention for herself, so her antics during the trial should be cringeworthy.
