I don’t believe anything out of these Egypt “experts”. That douche with the Indiana Jones hat you see on every special is an autocrat who allows no dissenting theories.
Mark Lehner and Zahi Hawass (the Hat Guy, and lecher) control all of our information of Ancient Egypt ; they are part of the vested Egyptology business, stretching back to the 18th Century. The worst case of historical consensus thinking imaginable.
If you watch the specials on Egypt you will learn virtually nothing about ancient Egypt. What you do learn will only skim the outer fringes and be mostly wrong in any case.

He includes many translated papers and articles written a century ago along with copious images of the monuments in detail you will not see on TV. “Giza Power” by Chis Dunn delves into how things were made from an engineering and machinist point of view. Did you know that the Old Kingdom Egyptians did not think as we do (logically), but symbolically?
