"Anderson Cooper: 360" performed the strongest of CNN's weak primetime shows last month. The program reached 1 million viewers six times in September, averaging 916,000 viewers, a 41% decrease from his 1.55-million average in September 2020.
By comparison, Fox News' "Tucker Carlson Tonight" averaged a whopping 3.3 million viewers and MSNBC's "All In with Chris Hayes" averaged 1.3 million in the 8 p.m. ET timeslot.

"Cuomo Prime Time," once CNN's most-watched show, trailed behind Anderson Cooper, reaching 1 million viewers just twice last month and averaging 874,000 viewers. Fox News' "Hannity" averaged 2.9 million during the same 9 p.m. ET timeslot, while MSNBC's "The Rachel Maddow Show" averaged 2.3 million, both never falling below 1 million.
CNN's embattled anchor Chris Cuomo lost nearly half his viewers since last year when he averaged 1.65 million viewers.

Cuomo's handoff buddy Don Lemon also shed 47% of his viewers from last year, going from a 1.36 million-viewer average to 742,000. Lemon never reached 1 million viewers during the entire month, coming in a distant third against Fox News' "The Ingraham Angle" and MSNBC's "The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell." The latter shows averaged 2.4 and 1.5 million viewers respectively and always maintained seven-digit viewership.
CNN's daytime programming did not fare any better. Dayside anchor Jake Tapper never reached 1 million viewers in September. His program "The Lead" certainly did not lead in the ratings, suffering a 44% drop from his 1.3 million viewer average last year to his weak 737,000 average this year.

I suppose they can try to have Fauci on 24/7, but I think even the libs are tiring of him by now.
People need to understand that CNN ratings are meaningless. They DON’T CARE. The network is a loss leader for whichever giant corporation that owns them. CNN is pure propaganda and they will never die because the corporation funds them through their other businesses.
That may be true but it is satisfying to know that no one watches them. They are close to broadcasting to an empty room.

Yet Hannity manages to comfortably beat every single news program on cable in ratings apart from Tucker.
Did that million include fictional or captive viewers at airports around the country?
Of course they care.
The network is a loss leader for whichever giant corporation that owns them.
Which is this “giant corporation” that doesn’t care about profits then?
And Fox News is trounced by NBC News, ABC News and CBS News respectively.
Wow - I can only imagine how low the viewership is on “Free Speech TV” the clownshow featuring such personalities as Thom Hartmann, who makes other conspiracy theorists look like Albert Einsteins of rational thought with his assertion, for instance, that Republicans are anti-mask and anti-vaccine because they want the whole country to get Covid to tank the economy and help thus win the elections next year......

I have been watching RT TV as of late but still watch Tucker each night.. Russian TV. Pretty sad when the russkies tell us more about what is happening in the US than CNN. MSNBC or Fox.
It is the TV version of The Daily Mail.
It's possible that CNN makes money in other ways, e.g. it's run as non-reportable donation to the Democrat Party. CNN's owner, AT&T, is buying favorable consideration in legal and regulatory challenges that it's businesses have.
