Do U expect all tv or movies to be positive morally?
That kills a lot of literature
It’s a story....a sad but entertaining one
Tony’s life is a mess and he’s a sociopath obviously
I’ve watched it four times
With each time Tony looks worse and worse
A bad man with a hint of a conscience who chooses instead to ignore it
And the way he treats women....awful
The ambiguity.....intentional....of his reaction to the horses death with that of the hopelessly naive daft stripper prostitute at the hands of Ralphie is somewhat redeeming.....and the fact he never kills stupid Artie shows he knows right from wrong
That’s about as good as he gets morally ...he loves his kids too I guess
Only truly somewhat decent character is Bobby Bacalao
I think it best tv series ever done .
“Only truly somewhat decent character is Bobby Bacalao”
yeah, i thought that too until i saw bobby threaten the union guy’s family by pointing a finger-gun at the guy’s in multiple places, explains that’s where the bullets would go into the heads of the guy’s family..

Seriously, we’d have to get rid of Homer, Greek tragedies, Shakespeare, etc, just to live up to some peoples’ standards for moral purity in art. Then we’d just have really bad art left, because the art that doesn’t reflect the worse parts of our nature is false, and art that is false is worthless.
