When you find the right machine for you, it becomes part of you body.

I always had a sweet spot for Vintage Triumphs. This is my 1967 Triumph T120 Bonneville bobber. Currently in the process of going through the top end. It's very fast and sits very low. A real nice bobber. The sound of these vintage Triumphs with neighbor hater pipes, sounds very nice.

Ford Explorer with a quarter million miles on it. Needs a replacement transmission.

Have a 1979 Yamaha XS650 Special sitting in the garage awaiting a complete overhaul. Keeping the bike company are boxes of used, NOS and brand spanking new parts ready to bring her back to her former, original beauty. Seriously...I have 4x as much $$$ in parts as the bike cost on eBay several years ago. The only thing I've done to the bike so far...swapped out original points ignition for electronic ignition, tuned up, corrected some mis-wiring, new battery, new tires and had the carbs professionally rebuilt. Runs smooth now...although it does have a very slight engine knock.

Not mine, but this is what I'm shooting for...

I’ve had many Harleys new and old stuff, including a 1941 flathead 80, ULH side valve. Harley’s are nice, but there is just something about a vintage Triumph that keeps pulling me back.

For my first bike at age 18 at Ole Miss in 1976 I chose worlds safest motorcycle..the 1974 Kawasaki 750 two stroke H2. She came purple of course but I remodeled her into a. White black and red cafe bike like an RD400 with any to race mod I could work....she was a blister back then....l took a ton of weight off the bike too. I still have synthetic body parts from my four years on her before I bought a GS11000RS off a drag bike outfit in Gulfport. Pictured is an actual purple H2 and a 500 triple similar to what I did. I usually ran 3-1 denco pipes but on occasion ran unplugged 3-3 hookers....man that is the loudest thing when she ran that way....you could hear it a mile away in Oxfords hills and hollows

1200. Love the torque on that thing. My first time on it liked to have pitched me off when I full throttled it. She’s a blast.

I started on a 305 Honda Superhawk, learned how to ride in a cemetery.
I’ve had 3 Honda 450’s
then a Suzuki GS 1100
Honda 850 full dressed
now a 72 450 Honda

The 850 got too much for me after my 5 weeks
in the hospital, 3 in a coma

Thanks very much, ML

*HUGS*

I'm astounded at the popularity of the Hondas - and no Brit metal in sight anywhere.

In my youth it was all about Triumph, BSA, Norton and Royal Enfield vs. HD. Now it's all Japanese metal.

One of the saddest stories I’ve heard was about a man with Alzheimer’s. He went for a ride and fell down at a stoplight because he forgot to put his feet down.
