Anser is one of those people I am kind of surprised was not already dead. He was good as Lou Grant in MTM (back in the day), but not remarkable otherwise.

Others I am surprised are still around: William Shatner and Larry Storch (F-Troop).

From and interview published only 3 days ago:

Gavin Newsom, the governor of California who’s now facing a recall, was your nephew by marriage. You actively campaigned for him. Should he or should he not be recalled?

Oh, cut it out. He is a very, very bright, promising, honest politician who made a mistake. One of the many who have made mistakes in their lives. Not as many as Andrew Cuomo.

How do you think President Biden is doing?

Afghanistan is a terrible setback for Biden, though he is certainly not to blame — he’s only been in office six months for God’s sake! It’s a shame. But I’m sure he knows how to buckle under and take it. I think he’s done a great job with the welfare bill. And I think that we’ll be a bigger and better country when he comes to the end of his presidency.

Interesting. He was probably miserable most of his life then.

I remember the open and theme of Lou Grant more than anything about the show.

I’ll take both of them any day over Ed.

There was the Larry Storch school of acting on Married With Children episode.

Did not have a lot of use for his politics. I wish his family the best. He had a good run. My tears are reserved for the fallen marines and their families today.

Decent actor. Not very nice in real life. RIP. We’re all going there eventually.

“Interesting. He was probably miserable most of his life then.”

That was during the Reagan years. Maybe he died a happy man?
