A few months ago, I commented on a greeting card I had received with an image from colonial Williamsburg, VA on it to my granddaughter, who was 9.
She proceeded to tell me quite a bit about Williamsburg and the revolutionary war. And she has her Greek mythology down pat.
So, there is some hope, but it wanes as the liberal agenda seems to be winning out in what is accepted as “education” these days.
My son does he made National Scholars thanks to the Classical Program I got him into for grade 6.
Lots of hardcore readings but they do train them in debate, memorization of major historical events, theology, philosophy, Latin, etc..lots of formal papers are submitted. Next year he will do his senior thesis & graduate. God Willing he will be able to go to Rome with his class but with all of the vaccine issues...it may not work out.
We also made sure to keep him up on the Constitution that was a featured post in the Epoch Times a few weeks back. It was a Constitutional expert from CO that took on several progressive beefs with the document. So every eve at dinner time we read these topics and discuss. Great stuff in the Epoch Times!

It will end badly and I’m hoping to be around just long enough to tell the idiot young that they brought it upon themselves when they gave up what the Founding Fathers gave to them.

I am convinced the best way to get young people’s attention is for all cell phone service to go out. Cell phones are about the only thing they care about these days.
A lot of those kids are merely punking this guy.

I’d be surprised if most were not. Education has really been dumbed-down; and too many parents haven’t been watching.
