Atlantic City Boardwalk (1965).
Just over a year since The Beatles swept America. Hot dogs were still 10 cents (or 15 cents for the foot-longs). Of course there was skee-ball with the attendant cheap prizes. Most women in dresses (and some in high heels). I was still two years old that summer so one of the children being pushed in a stroller might have been me.
Check out the Blue rolling chairs.

You didn’t see many obese people.

I zoned in on what you did. People dressed, and conducted themselves with dignity. No one wearing a bizarre hat, vulgar shirt, pants exposing their under-ware. No women in incredibly revealing swimsuits, covered with tattoos and sporting hair that no human has ever been born with.

You didn’t see many obese people.Great catch!
I watch Adam 12 nearly every day and whenever they get a description on the radio, I think "Damn, that's a slender fella!" and it is, by today's standards.

Go back a few years to 1959, and you may have seen my Mother taking the 3 year old me for a walk, literally on a leash!
She later said, it was the only way to keep me from zipping off someplace. She’d had enough off chasing me around in public. My Dad, supported her solution.

No tattoos whatsoever. That stood out to me right away.
I guess Popeye the Sailor Man was out at sea that day.

Willful and deliberate. The left made it that way in order to bring about the Marxist Revolution.

Great film and good comments. Not complaining but surprised he didn’t catch Steele Peer with the diving horse show. Went there as a kid probably late 60’s to about 1970. Also had the Planter’s Peanuts guy with the monocle strolling the boardwalk and a Planter’s peanuts store issuing the delicious smell of roasting peanuts.

My Mom did likewise. Probably why I’m still here.

Same here. There was no way my sister and I would be allowed to wander off in Montreal.

Virtually no trash on the streets. I spotted a few napkins under a hotdog vendor’s cart. That’s about it.

Also had the Planter’s Peanuts guy with the monocle An old friend of mine once did that for a while in Times Square. People would knock on his shell and say "Are you some kind of a nut?"

My thoughts, too. How far and fast we have devolved.

Wonder what the burlesque show was like, lol? Would not mind trying the candied apples and salt water taffy as well.
