Jan. 6 Detainees Confined 23 Hours a Day, Attorneys Say
The Epoch Times ^ | July 5, 2021 | ISABEL VAN BRUGEN

Dozens detained in federal prison awaiting trial following the Jan. 6 breach of the U.S. Capitol building are being subject to solitary confinement, lack of required medical care, and restricted access to defense counsel, according to two attorneys and the father of a defendant.

Of the close to 500 arrests made so far in connection with the Jan. 6 incident, lawyers John Pierce and Steven Metcalf II, who represent several of the defendants, told EpochTV’s “The Nation Speaks” that some detainees who are being held pre-trial face solitary confinement for 23 hours a day in conditions that are “unconstitutional” and violate “every single basic human right.”

This is NOT Right

—————————————

Sure it is. Just look at any Third World African nation or banana republic that also goes through a coup d’état like America has. Political prisoners are a part of the game.

Click my tagline for a brief synopsis of America’s coup d’état

Sacajaweau :" Human rights violation. This is NOT who we are."

Solitary confinement is reserved for disciplinary problems within the prison system;
to do so "without cause" within the institution is "arbitrary and capricious " , and a violation of human and civil rights".
What else would you expect of a Communist organization that the U.S. Congressional House has become.
They, the House, have learned well under their Chinese Masters, and have made Pelousey the new ' Schutzkommando '. under Gruben

You are smarter than the average. You know the leanings of the Supreme Court. You know they won’t touch this case with a 10 foot Pole or a 8 foot Hungarian. The people they trumped up charges on and the Local Law Enforce so happily, proudly, gleefully assisted in their apprehension are on their own. And the members so loudly proclaim that, “That Law Enforcement will be on our side.” Maybe so, but they won’t be on the side of Right and Justice.

They’re mostly grandmas etc. as well .

What they are calling solitary confinement the warden is probably calling protective custody. I don't know who they are but I can pretty much guess who they aren't, which is hardened criminals. Would you really want to see them put into the general prison population?

They are punishing them to make a example of them. If no one was in the Capitol then it would be fine. Just like the other state capitols that get burned and destroyed and kamala bails them out. Because they were there it scared the crap out of them. And I still think it was planned. And if it’s proven and they knew it and drew Trump supporters in to later arrest them and mistreat them then they should be put in jail. Forever.

Eventually, Americans might need to storm the Bastille if the courts and the Supreme Court refuse to do their duty.

I like that idea. I also like the idea of some treasonous heads rolling.

There will not be a day where someone says “we declare civil war”

Things will just escalate and escalate until we find we are in one.

Do we need to contact Amnesty International, and/or other Human Rights organizations about this?

These (Solitary confinement, denying medical care exc..) are serious violations.

No. I'd really like to see them released on minimal bail or on their own recognizance.

This is political retribution. The law enforcement system being used to keep one political party in power.

That one party would be the Uniparty. The coup and stolen election are fully bipartisan in nature.

Why aren’t the pubbies and DJT speak out on this miscarriage of justice. The 1/6 prisoners for the most part are American heroes and have become political pawns of the commie takeover of our country. North Korea, China, Russia, and the USA all have something in common, and that is denying human rights.

There will not be a day where someone says “we declare civil war”

I think you might not quite grasp the situation here.

WE THE PEOPLE will not declare a civil war.

Congress and the White house probably will do it themselves.

That kicks in a whole bunch of of nasty things, Congress declaring war bypasses the War Powers Act for one, the declaration automatically voids the Posse Comitatus Act, with all that implies.

They have the F-15s and nuclear weapons.

They have already threatened to use them.

What's that threat assessment formula?

An enemy's ability to do battle X their willingness to use that ability, or something like that.

Their calculus might be: "If we nuke the whitest, reddest city in the reddest state everyone else will snap into line.

It's a small price to pay for saving the rest of the country from the evils of Trumpism!, and communists have never been shy about making such sacrifices. Ask any Ukrainian, Tienanmen square survivor, or Cambodian...
