A judge denied an emergency request by a woman who wanted to enter her condo to rescue her cat Coco before the demolition. Thirty minutes before the building was imploded.

The cat may have had a chance to escape. But the rest of the owners and tenants in that building were not allowed to go back in and retrieve any of their personal items or property.

Gone. Just gone.

Loss of Coco the cat is very sad for her. I’d be bereft if Daisy were trapped inside a building being demolished.

Part of the still standing structure was still fairly safe or else it would have already fallen. It should have been cleared out of certain items before it was demolished. Pets would certainly not be too much to ask for.

The judge was correct to deny the request. Besides, three detailed sweeps of the building located no pets.
