Difficult to imagine how anything could top the original series - the episode wherein the crew attempts an intervention with Christopher because of his drug use and ends up beating him and sending him to the ER is still about the funniest thing i can remember seeing on TV........

If there is any justice in this world, someone will be teaching The Sopranos in film schools for at least the next hundred years.
