Chicago police have launched an investigation following a startling incident in which two gunmen opened while in the middle of traffic Thursday morning in the city’s Chatham neighborhood. No injuries were reported.

It could be fully-auto. Or, it could be an AR variant with a failing disconnector in the trigger assembly. The reason I'm a little skeptical it's full auto is the shooter doesn't look like the type who's smart enough/proficient enough to have presence of mind to change the selector in the middle of a firefight in Chicago. But, I guess anything is possible.

What would that type be?
Makes me smell a rat. Any use of full-auto weapons is extremely rare. If this wasn’t a malfunction, where did the perp get the weapon? It’s possible it was stolen from a military shipment through Chicago. But given the push for gun control and “assault weapon” bans, I wouldn’t be surprised if it were supplied to a gang-banger by the FBI/ATF/NKVD to push the Commie political agenda.
Well I thought that is good that they got his plate number and if the car is not stolen they will be able to locate him. But then again.... won’t nothing happen to him if he is caught.
They had a target. It wasn’t just shooting people at random and they are going after the target as the video ends.
Someone with tactical training. Fire discipline in an actual firefight is tough particularly for the inexperienced. Nothing in their behavior would lead me to believe they weren’t anything other than street thugs.
With a faulty trigger assembly, you pull the trigger once and maybe 3-4 rounds go down range. The second time, maybe it’s just one round (as designed). That’s what it looked like to me.

That sounded like two shooters firing several shots very close together. Didn’t sound like a full auto to me.
Maybe he had a bump stock or type of trigger that fires both when it’s pressed and when it’s released...or maybe the gangs are importing them, who knows.....remember the guy in Las Vegas was supposedly using bump stocks to get off all the rounds he did....
The second trigger pull of the shooter on the left is definitely a 3-round burst. Of that, there’s no question.
After that, there is no more burst-fire.
