The coyote was later shot and killed, a wildlife official said

A coyote bit a 6-year-old boy at a golf course in South San Jose last weekend, a wildlife official said Friday.

The attack happened at about 10:40 a.m. Sunday at Cinnabar Hills Golf Club, California Department of Fish and Wildlife Capt. Patrick Foy said.

The boy was taken to the hospital to be treated, Foy said. His condition wasn't immediately known.

Wildlife officials were able to get a sample of the coyote's DNA from the boy's clothing and his father's golf glove, Foy said.

On Thursday, agents from the United States Department of Agriculture shot and killed a coyote at the golf course. The animal was taken to a facility in Sacramento where officials confirmed it was the same coyote that bit the boy.

In fairness to the coyote, the kid tried to take an illegal golf.

In fairness to the coyote, a six year old moves a lot slower than a roadrunner.

I hope the poor kid didn’t have to get the rabies shots.

I thought the preferred coyote method of attack was an elaborate machine that ended up with a safe or anvil being dropped on a roadrunner.

And the safe or anvil has to have been bought from ACME.

That only works on the Northern reticulated coyote.

Kid should find new golf partners if none of them knew how to use a club.

You ever watched the Looney Tunes now and realized that they had a hidden message or referenced classical English literature?

Those contraptions that Wile E Coyote was building? He was actually showing kids how to be ingenious and think outside the box. Or build things with their hands.

Why was the USDA involved?

This was a local problem.

I saw two coyote pups the other day - first time for me ever. Their mom was crossing a field, and the pups were playing and wrestling.

Normally shoot on sight, but that was too cute.

Coyotes gots to eats too.\

Yup.

Too bad the eco commies
strangled land management
turning our forests into tinder box’s
that finally burnt so hot
it sterilized the soil so no critters
could find anything to eat.

.

Clearly the cartoon that our RINOs watched over and over again studying the finer points of the technique until they got it down pat.

It isn’t that bad these days. Our family had the series in 1993 and we handled it well. For us, it was a series of three in the arm muscle, not the dreaded stomach injections.
