TIMBER. CNN’s ratings continue to drop as their total day viewership is down 70%.

Nielsen Media Research reports CNN’s primetime viewers at the beginning of the year was roughly around 798,000 people and 530,000 total day viewers. Now the network is seeing no more than 229,000 primetime viewers with 152,000 total day viewers.

Translation: That’s pretty awful.

FOX ratings, though significantly higher, also continue to feel the blow of lower viewership after they hurt themselves during the election.

With more outlets from Newsmax to Nextstar’s new partnership with NewsNation Now the competition for national cable news outlets is growing

Trump has rallies bigger than this.

When a seriously biased news source is in bed with the current people in power, they don’t really have a lot to talk about that is actually interesting. This is especially true if the people in power are not really supportable. I mean, outside her district, who likes Nan or AOC?

We have been hearing about their low ratings for years. When does it hurt their bottom line? What is propping it up?

The Five is melting I think. How is Gutfeld a show doing?

His Red Eye was the best why doesn’t he do that show no audience great guests male sidekick, a comedian and do it at 12 ET or 11. And stop with the cackling, guffawing, long monologues an disgusting sex jokes

They are crazy not to.

I wasn’t watching during Trump anyway and certainly not since the days of Lynne Russell or Natalie Allen and others back in the mid 90s, lol.

One of the reasons AT&T is dumping Warner Media (CNN)into a partnership with Discovery.

CNN Ratings Down 70% Without Trump

CNN's statistician has assured them that negative viewership numbers are mathematically impossible.

Still, he is sad.

Their hatred of Trump (for whatever reason) is what kept them going; now that he’s not around to be kicked they’re crashing.

I like to put these numbers in a local perspective. Since I live in PA, how many people view CNN in PA? The math: PA's perectage of US population, 12.1 m ÷ 331 m = 3.6%. Number of prime time viewers in PA, 3.6% × 229,000 = 8,371.

Furthermore, how many travelers are held captive to CNN at the Philadelphia International Airport? Well, I can't find a number on that one, but it is much greater than 8k. Thus, there are a lot of people actively going out of their way to not view CNN.

I call that winning.

Is CNN owned by some other company, so that the operating losses of CNN are subsidized by that other business?

Hln sure fell apart and almost sold. They just run Robin Meade. Rest is documentaries about crime. Filler since news didn’t work. Remember for three years it was named CNN2. Then Headline News.

At some point you would think the other company would get tired of eating the losses.
