Just thinking a little bit more about this. Note how the Department of Interior is blocking the project noted in this article. Here in the Eastern US, that are far fewer federal lands. In PA, most mining operations are on privately owned property. I have long been for private ownership of land, and if not privately owned, then state owned. Last in line should be the federal government and only for military purposes. I would go as far as scraping the National Park system and giving the parks to the states. National forests should become state forests. BLM (not the burn, loot and murder organization) land should be turned over to states. Basically, the Department of Interior should be put out of business. It would be a huge defeat to eco-whackos. They would have to go after 50 different states instead of one federal bureaucracy where they have been able to plant their own people over the years.
