This is a truly astonishing claim because nothing could be further from the truth.
You can conduct a quick reality check yourself. Despite their fervent accusations of racism, those who make them have not been able to point to a single racist law, ordinance or practice in the whole of the United States. This holds true across the spectrum: the federal, state and local levels. If the United States were indeed an institutionally racist society, you could surely find at least one law or practice in this vast nation to support your contention. But they cannot do it and that for a good reason: there aren’t any.
Please mark this well: In the whole of the United States there is not a single law or ordinance that can be identified as racist or discriminatory. There has not been one for at least five decades. Please do contemplate the implications of this.
The only “proof” of racism offered is underrepresentation in some areas and overrepresentation in others. But this situation in not due racism or discrimination. The reason why Blacks are underrepresented among neurosurgeons, for example, is the same reason they are overrepresented in the NBA, the NFL and in many areas of entertainment. It is fundamentally a matter of inclination, availability, skill and talent.

I read a lot of history, and maybe I missed it, but.... has any other nation on earth torn itself apart for years and struggled with the nationwide aftermath, the way the US did, during OUR brutal Civil War to end slavery?
That will always be blamed on European colonialism...AS IF Africa was not an isolated continent for thousands of years before Europeans arrived.

That is nevertheless part of the puzzle. As I’m sure you know, the Europeans carved out the nations of Africa without regard to tribal boundaries. So different - and often hostile - tribes got lumped together. That doesn’t do much to advance society.
It would be like if back in the 1700s some great power forced Prussia, Poland, and western Russia into a single state. There would be endless squabbling going on there.
Pre colonial, indigenous people populated Africa for EONS before Europeans arrived.
Europeans who arrived there even as late as the late 19th century remarked on the incessant and brutal inter-tribal warfare, the backwardness and lack of any overarching sense of morality as understood by Europeans.
Read Richard Francis Burton “Mountains of the Moon”. He reported that slaves and guns were the first things any African would buy, once he obtained money.
On one trek, he said that a bearer bought a female slave. While moving on, she couldn’t keep pace.
Her owner would not slow for her, no other bearers could afford to buy her from him and he would not free her because, he PAID for her. His solution was to cut off both her feet (making her totally without value to anyone) and leaving her behind, on her own. THAT’S brutal and barbaric.

For the most part, WE didn’t bring them here. Obama’s actual ancestors in Africa — his family tribe — were extreme slave traders. The largest slave owner in the south was black. We continue to accept the blame.
No they’re biracial, but they all embrace their blackness and proudly identify as such. If America is such a horrible racist country you would think they would all try their best to highlight their whiteness and downplay that they are in anyway Black. The fact that they don’t shows that there are advantages to being Black in this country, at least culturally.
