Expect more stories like hers as conservatives begin to copy leftists and weaponize cancel culture against leftists.
Emily Wilder graduated from Stanford last year. At the beginning of May, she landed a job working for Associated Press. Two weeks later, she found herself fired because conservatives discovered her wildly pro-Palestinian social media activity while in college. She’s figured out that she was “canceled” but cannot grasp that this happened because conservatives have finally adopted leftist tactics.
According to an article in The Federalist,
Emily Wilder, a former Arizona Republic reporter and graduate of Stanford University, tweeted that she accepted a position with the AP in April. The Twitter post was dug up by the Stanford College Republicans, a group that frequently probes into former and current student political activities. Wilder’s Twitter account has since been switched to private mode.

Wilder led an effort on Stanford’s campus to host antisemitic cartoonist Eli Valley. Valley frequently draws Jews in an offensive way and has depicted Nazi imagery in his work. The former Stanford student was the co-leader of Students for Justice in Palestine as well. A spokesman for the AP told the The Federalist that the outlet “requires employees to abstain from political activity.”

Wilder lost her job because her past activities show that she should not have been hired in the first place. Her prior conduct meant she was unqualified for her job and, arguably, got the job using false pretenses. (Although one would think that AP, a journalism company, would make the effort to research the social media history and activism of its new hires.)
Oh, and one more thing: Wilder believes that everything she said and did is okay because she’s Jewish. She is a reminder that the most toxic anti-Semitism, at least as far back as Karl Marx, emanates from self-loathing Jews.
She didn’t get cancelled. Rachel Corrie got cancelled.
Wilder got fired because in the course of she getting caught she brought bright light.
No one at AP disagrees with her.

I remember my grandmother telling me forty-plus years ago to always think long and hard about anything put in writing and shared with others. “It lives forever, and it can come back to haunt you.”
Social media is one big time-wasting, exhibitionistic electronic nut-house. Twerp and Facebook are adjoining cells within it. I’ve reached the point of thinking that anyone who chooses to engage with it deserves whatever happens to them as a result—whether I agree with them or not. This woman isn’t a “victim of cancel culture.” She learned a lesson that she could have been taught when she was much younger. She can be a warning to others, and she’s still young enough that she can learn from her mistake and be wiser in the future. Good luck, sweetie.
No, not a cease fire. They’ll want the power to have the government step in and ensure “fairness.” Of course we all know what “fairness” really means to a leftist - the abi6to force their views and behaviors on others.

Probably not and for a variety of reasons. The Left, unlike, say a political party or an incorporation with a hierarchy, or, more appropriately ...The Mafia, which also has a hierarchy ... it’s just a mob. It’s a mob on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, but a mob, nonetheless. When the mob stampedes it cares not that women and children are getting trampled. The mob lives in the moment and the more brutish and bloody, the more satisfying that moment is.
There was a church in my childhood neighborhood. It was started by two loving brothers. They had a disagreement on their theology. My impression is it was miner... like, did Marry have blue eyes or green? They broke the church apart and never spoke again. That’s the Left today. It doesn’t matter that another Leftist agrees with 99.99% of what the next guy believes. The only importance is that .01% and, if not that then, “YOU MUST DIE!!!!”
I can come up with more reasons why the horrible, brutish Left will continue to be the horrible, brutish Left no matter how much they slaughter each other but they are more subtle and take longer to explain. However, I’m sure you get the point. People on the Left, will happily beat you, your children, and each other to death with their “Save The Planet” signs.
