Chicago has a lot of great things to offer. It's super windy, freezing in the winter, scorching in the summer, the homicide rate is off the charts, and there are legions of rats roaming the streets.

At least the deep-dish pizza is good!

To solve the rat issue, Chicago has decided to release a ninja-army of 1,000 feral cats:

Yep, Chicago was named "rattiest city" by pest-control group Orkin for the sixth year in a row.

How will these feral cats be able to tell the rodents from Democrats?

And what will Chicago release when the feral cats get to be a problem?

Feral cats wont do the trick. In order to annihilate these “Rats”, the city needs to be nuked..just to make sure.

Was thinking the same thing...unless they were spade and neutered they’ll just replace one problem with another.

They'll work their way up the food chain until King Kong vs Godzilla finally becomes reality.

I suppose Chicago could release dogs, then it would be like a Tom & Jerry cartoon.

Are they sure feral cats will hunt, kill and eat large, aggressive urban rats? Also, you can be sure many people will feed those feral cats on the sly.

I think large snakes would have been a better choice. Florida has a surplus of boas right now. The snakes would die out in the winter so self completing process.

We had a couple feral cats in my neighborhood until some folks started feeding the vermin. Now there are tons.

I think I got one last night with my truck.

Cats don’t normally eat large rats. Little rats and mice yes, large rats—not so much.

They should consider city funded Jack Russell teams. Those little buggers are efficient rodent hunters.

When they get fed and tamed by 1000 cat ladies the good intention becomes moot.

Who herds up a thousand feral cats and drives them to Chicago? Rowdy Yates? They wouldn’t be feral if there is a feral cat breader would they?
