Audio from “Galaxy Quest,” a 1999 sci-fi spoof with Tim Allen, is heard loudly over lawmakers’ presentations. "Those poor people."

The late great Alan Rickman immediately signed on after Tim Allen spoke to him in person. He was in L.A. for a promo for another movie, and rarely did comedy. Tim Allen said his delivery was excellent and had a fun time on set, except for the make up.
One of the most underrated comedies of all time. That was Sam Rockwell’s earliest roles.

Galaxy Quest.
I suspect this is Kamal’s great idea, as she is now National Space Council head.

Yes, he was. If it wasn’t for Michael Duncan, he would have stolen the movie the same way Val Kilmer did it in Tombstone.
That Oscar supporting actor category was Michael Ckarke Duncan, the kid from 6th Sense et al. Michael Cane won it, and historically, the ONLY time in Oscar history (supposedly) that the “winner” thanked and acknowledged the OTHER 4 NOMINEES by name. 99% of the time, they only thank their agents and themselves.

Was the hacker a minor or a miner?

Michael Clarke Duncan was awesome in that movie.
I remembered him from “Armageddon” before that one.
