10 dead is a “mass murder”? I view this as 10 individual tragedies, each lost individual no more deserving of a media grief orgy than the untold victims of individual tragedies.

I know personally. I watched a gun battle in Oklahoma a couple of decades ago. Saw the whole thing, start to finish. By the time we found one of the guys on the ground in the parking lot, with at least a couple of shots in him, the police still hadn’t arrived. He was still alive at that time. I don’t know whether he made it or not (he was one of the shooters - it was like a gang thing - my guess was it was druggies shooting it out).
Ten dead in Boulder. That is the same number of students murdered at the Enoch Brown School massacre in 1764. One musket and several tomahawks used in that one.
