Who cares? I'm only posting this because of one of their "Best" Moments
Best: Jane Fonda
While the mid-ceremony montages and career-achievement award presentations can often feel like filler, this year’s Jane Fonda tribute and career montage hit the perfect note — as did her speech when she was presented with the Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award. “Art has always been not just in step with history, but has led the way — so let’s be leaders,” she said. With a newly silver coif (joining the likes of Ben Stiller), she also showed up in person; a welcome sight during a year when most stars (understandably) appeared via video chat.

Oh...that reminds me...gotta go to the john...hollywood...aint important no more....
Treason was once a crime in America.
The best was my decision to not watch it.
There’s an unwritten rule in our house that we’re not to mention her name in my Dad’s presence (he was drafted in 63 and served 2 yrs Stateside, his unit got sent over later and as he put it once ‘got slashed to ribbons’) he’s told me on more than one occasion he wants to outlive her so he can piss on her grave. I know he’s not the only one by far that wishes the same way.

It has been reported that that the TV viewer numbers for the “Golden globes, 2021 were absolutely dismal...very few folks tuned in. Hollywood movies are dying and Hallmark Movies are thriving!!! It will be interesting to see what the Nielson TV numbers are this afternoon!!!
Speaking of Hanoi Jane and urinals, I actually met her once though I didn't realize it at the time.
I went to a small college right at the PA-OH border and we drove to Kent State for the 4th anniversary of the shootings. They were having seminars, speakers like Julian Bond and Tom Hayden but our main reason was an Eagles concert. We got there a day early and spent the night in a dorm called the Center For Peaceful Change, which was coed right down to the showers. My school, as a comparison, only allowed visitors of the opposite sex in the dorms on one weekend a month and you had to leave the door open, so this was considered pretty radical.
Anyway, we were in the bathroom getting ready to go out to the speeches. I was at the urinal and my friend was filling his bota bag with wine at the sink when this girl walked in. She was dressed in a tan pantsuit and was well groomed, not scruffy and in jeans like a lot of the other students. I thought she was a junior or senior. Whatever she was, she wasn't shy and she zipped down her pantsuit, had a seat on the toilet (which had no door) and started a friendly conversation, just chitchat like "are you here for the rally?". I finished my business, my friend filled his bag and we headed out.
We were watching the stage for the speakers and the emcee started talking about what would be going on then introduced the first speaker, Jane Fonda. It was the girl from the bathroom.
Of course, that’s why the U.S. never should have been involved in the Vietnam War in the first place.
Maybe they were right for the wrong reasons, but the anti-war movement sure was right about a lot of things back then.
So? See betrayed my brothers. Last item on my bucket list is to urinate on her grave. And I will also make deposits on behalf of some brothers that have moved onto Valhalla.
If I were in your shoes I’d be more interested in pissing on the graves of Lyndon Johnson and Robert McNamara. THEY — more than anyone else — betrayed your brothers and everyone else in this country.
I was much too young to have fought in Vietnam & I want to piss on her grave.
Already done. LBJ was a challenge and took some engineering and spy craft know how. ;-)
LMAO. Good for you!!
I can’t source this because it was decades ago that I read it. All I remember was that one of LBJ’s biographers said that Johnson couldn’t understand why he was not universally loved.
Ditto on McNamara too.
Time’s Up calls out zero Black HFPA members voting on Golden Globes; stars join protest
We were pretty dead at Domino’s last night, which means nobody was watching anything.
Before he passed last year, I did promise my 3 tour uncle I would piss on her grave because he could not
