This issue has divided families big time. The enemedia has bewitched those not paying attention to the man behind the curtain. They watch Colbert and the evening news and are convinced Trump was the most evil person in this nations history. You can’t even have a normal discussion about politics because they are brainwashed.

“How long do you think your ‘free state’ will remain free?”
For quite some time. Same as in South Dakota. As word spreads that these states have governors that FIGHT and are populated with people that vote for such governors more freedom lovers will relocate.
The country is deeply divided. Patriots at heart with weak spines that choose to remain in states where they are a small minority because it’s just too hard to move to states where they are welcome are just waiting to be devoured.
We are headed to an inevitable political dissolution. To remain a minority in enemy territory is beyond foolish. It is suicidal.

the state of Victoria in Australia is a beacon of tyranny and the FakeNewsMSM is presently at full throttle, reporting the latest HARD LOCKDOWN. (tennis players at The Australian Open have been deemed essential workers, but spectators won’t be allowed!):

12 Feb: Australian Financial Review: Victoria goes into five day snap lockdown
Victoria goes into five day snap lockdown
by Timothy Moore, Natasha Rudra and Tom Burton
Mr Andrews says regional Victoria is also being placed under lock down even though there are no cases there to prevent the highly infectious virus spreading from Melbourne...
Here’s what he had to say:
There are 13 cases linked to the outbreak
Three are returned travellers who are in hotel quarantine
Ten cases are locally acquired...
Of those: two are residents in another area of the hotel and are transmission within the hotel. There are four staff members, who staff members in various roles who contracted the virus also within the hotel
Four household members of hotel staff have now caught the virus
All cases are the UK variant...

*Stay at home except 4 reasons: Essential shopping (one person, once a day); care giving; essential work or permitted education and exercise (two hours a day).
* Masks: Everywhere but at home.
* Gatherings & visits: Private and public gatherings not permitted. Weddings not permitted, funerals 10 people. Hospital and aged care visits banned.
* Work: If can work from home, must work at home.
* School: Closed except for essential workers. Childcare remains open.
* Economy: Only essential retail open. General retail, hospitality, accommodation. House inspection and auctions stopped.

Visitors will be banned at home and Victorians not be allowed to travel more than 5km from their home...
https://www.afr.com/politics/federal/victoria-goes-into-five-day-snap-lockdown-20210212-p571st

the last covid death in Australia was at the end of December. before that, there were two deaths at the end of October.

Victoria has had 820 deaths, 655 in aged care facilities (79%). only one other state has double figure deaths.

Yes it is. I visited Florida from a northeastern state last month. What a breath of fresh air. And I am fine since that visit.

This is an outstanding article about Florida/Gov. DeSantis V. the COVID lies. I cannot emphasize enough how lucky we are to have DeSantis for our governor.

>>To hope and pray that the lion approaching them with hunger in its eyes will not choose to devour them but, will chose to devour another instead.<<

It is scary and would take a lot of courage to give up all you’ve known, and start over in a totally new environment. I am happy for you and your family to be Florida folks now!

I think Florida is the only state in the Union where you can still go to the track to watch horseracing in person.

I certainly hope you are right about those ‘free’ states remaining free.

But a lot of people stay where they are because their hearts and roots and people are there - and the land itself is in their blood and hearts.

The word ‘patriot’ originally comes from a Greek word meaning ‘father’.

If you think it’s a ‘weak heart and weak spine’ that decides to stay where it was born - where all of its love and connections are - and stand and fight, then you’re pretty foolish yourself and lacking cognizance of the varied reasons why some people decide to stay put and stick it out.

But I guess it’s just a lot easier to simply run away...

A people/country divided will not stand. No army scattered about in small pockets can win a war. And, make no mistake, we are in a war.
You can console yourself with such platitudes as you’ve stated here to justify yourself but, the fact remains that when you choose the comfort of passivity and hope the Alligator will eat you last you’ve decided that joining a major force remote from your little pocket of the world is just too much trouble and joining forces with your fellow Freedom Fighters is just too much trouble for you.
So be it but, do not attempt to glorify your decision and diminish those that choose to band together in common cause with like-minded freedom lovers to make a more effective stand against tyranny.

What happened the last time y’all tried that?

(You seem to have only one narrow, firebrand concept of ‘war’ and how to wage it.)

I’d give her 25 percent. DeSantis 95 percent. He’s been an incredible governor. I’m lucky to have such a great team in DeSantis, Daniel Webster and Sabatini. All superior.

The only negative with Florida compared to California is the pay. In California, you are paid 125,000 and Florida it’s 30,000. Sad to say that that’s one area where Florida falters. Income.

Nope. Voters got rid of it in the 2018 vote. Last track closed end of 2020. We still have a liberal bent on some issues.
