Ginger outlives Mary Ann
Posted on 12/30/2020 7:09:26 PM PST by SamAdams76
Well it's been a long time since I saw that show.
I always liked Mary Ann over Ginger.
Now she's gone. Ginger still alive and kicking at age 86 though.

I used to fantasize about Mary Ann. So sad that sweet woman is gone.

I don’t know, but if you remember the show, you are officially in the old people’s club.

So sorry to hear of Dawn Wells's passing.
Ironic that Ginger is the sole survivor. She left the show before everyone else.

Is Ginger the last castaway standing/sitting....awaiting that final, three hour tour?

Only if you remember it from the original CBS run. Gilligan's Island has been in reruns forever.
I don't remember the first run, but it was the FIRST TV show we watched when Cable TV came to our home. Finally, we could get WPIX TV Channel 11 in clearly on March 27, 1973, and at 4:30 PM, we watched Gilligan's Island.

I don’t know, but if you remember the show, you are officially in the old people’s club. Yep! Was talking to my wife about the show, she does remember it. I mentioned that Gilligan (Bob Denver) was also in Dobie Gillis (known as "The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis") portraying Maynard G. Krebs. She said "Who, what?" about "Dobie Gillis". That made me feel old.

Yes, but apparently Dawn Wells (Mary Ann) was flat broke when she died today. I hope Ginger invested better.

There used to be re-runs of Gilligan's Island on when I came home from school. I was a Mary Ann man all the way. RIP.
Now that I think about it, it's incredible how many opportunities to get off the island Gilligan spoiled for those poor people. They'd probably have killed and eaten him first in real life.

Denver was another COVID fatality. About twelve years ago

The surviving cast members were issued these. I don't know what happened.

That actually surprises me because Dawn Wells was supposedly the only cast member whose agent was smart enough to negotiate rerun royalties.
To: SamAdams76
Not really
They ran reruns of this for a very long time
And im sure its running somewhere on vintage tv cable stations

I always preferred Mary Ann. But, it’s not like it was every a one-sided competition. Dawn Wells was Miss Nevada in the 1960 Miss America pageant.
