“Naked eye” it looked like two stars close together.
Through binoculars, it looked like a big white dot and a little white dot.

"Anyone see the star of Bethlehem last night?" Everyone should stop calling it that. It only comes round every 800 years so, so it was impossible for it to be there when Christ was born.
And it's not a star it's only two planets that appear to pass close by each other.

I did see it last night but many relatives around the country were diss appointed by cloud cover.
When I first saw it Wednesday, December 16 the conjunction was more spectacular because I was out in the desert. Jupiter and Saturn were directly above the waxing crescent moon and all 3 were hanging over a huge saguaro cactus which was back-lit by the glow of Phoenix 20 miles to the west. All around on both side of me the horizon was jagged blackness made by the peaks of the Superstition Mountains on my left and the McDowell Mountains on my right.
