LaBianca!
Barteck Frykowski, the son of Wojciech Frykowski was also stabbed to death back in 1999.
Jose Sandoval-Romero,
The correct spelling is LaBianca.
I read Helter Skelter many many years ago and the murder of the LaBiancas was deeply disturbing to me. I had naively maintained that if one was wise and careful, one might avoid horrible things happening. I could point to various factors that seemed to invite danger: offending a volatile person, drinking, walking alone at night, meeting strangers alone, wearing provocative clothing, fame, etc. that explained to me why someone might fall victim to murder. The murder of the LaBiancas stripped me of that fantasy since I could see nothing they did which invited their fate.
reading Helter Skelter years ago is what prompted me to buy my first gun....especially the first chapter. 5 people, including 3 adult males, unarmed, slaughtered. If just one of them was armed. Still one of the worst crimes ever...horrible.
(Richland, WA is one of the Tri-Cities)
She graduated a few years ahead of me.
Yeah, Gun free zones don’t work
Her death was especially appalling....dirty bastards. At least Susan Adkins died a miserable, slow death....
The beginning of the movie always freaks me out - the guy on his balcony hearing the screams.

Link, please.
i still say that care taker...William Garretson, heard something that night, and hid like a coward. 5 people murdered...2 screaming and running on the front lawn...less than 70 feet from the guest house??...cmon.
Bill initially told police that he knew nothing and heard nothing that fateful evening, but in later years admitted that he did hear a few things and had hidden in the cottage, in fear for his life.

“The LaBianca’s dropped Suzan off at her apartment, stopped to pick up a newspaper late that Saturday night, and then headed to their Los Feliz home on Waverly Drive.
A bit of a useless knowledge to add to that. Their daughter’s apartment building later became one of the most famous complexes ever on TV, Melrose Place.
Vincent Bugliosi was, IMHO, a terrific prosecutor and a brilliant legal writer up through the end of the O.J. case. Sadly, he seemed to go off the deep end in his latter years. A sad end to a notable career.
I was a 19 y/o kid from Ohio when I moved to Hollywood...and a few weeks later Manson & his groupies did their evil deeds.
What an introduction to Hollywood.
