H1N1 killed a lot more younger people than COVID.

But Trump wasn’t in office so they didn’t care.

If you are young the chances of dying from COVID are roughly the same as being struck by lightning.</i>

It is a bit more than lighting strikes, but still not nearly bad as auto deaths.

I know of two people who where young and fit who became seriously ill with flu. They didn’t die, but they insisted in carrying on training and excercising through their illness instead of resting and one ended up with permanent heart damage and another one ended up confined to a wheelchair.

I am guessing that something similar might have happened, except it involved covid instead of flu. Even if you are fit and healthy you should not try to push through illness.

I agree with you. It’s central_va who doesn’t believe it affects young people at all.

I read about another college runner who caught COVID-19 several months ago and still has not completely recovered enough to resume her competitive activities.

i do not believe this

they will find some condition or something they didn’t know about him that would refute the fit and healthy assumption

I’m not spreading fear, or anything else, other than facts. Sorry if you have been triggered, Snowflake—consider joining us in the real world.

I agree with you. It’s central_va who doesn’t believe it affects young people at all.

Interesting...

Your first post on this timeline is post 48, calling out ChicagoConservative27,
Which is the post I responded to.

THEN central_va responded to you at post 50

You CLAIM, that people here think it's harmless.
I don't see that at all.
I see you with an either or, all or nothing, mentality.

People here see this as typical media sensationlism, to drive an agenda.
Promoting or puting to the forefront, maybe embelishing certain aspects of the story, while omitting other aspects, to drive an agenda.

People here see the media for what it really is.
They are tired of the media and its manipulating.

Facts are that Covid infects the younger at a much lower rate than older people. Another fact is that those younger who are infected are less likely to be as adversely as affected as similar numbers of older people.

Another fact. Covid impacts those with comorbidities at a higher intensity.

Another fact. As people age, they have a greater chance of developing more comorbidities.

Another fact. Not all young people are comorbidity free.

All these facts are what the media conveniently omits.
The people here recognize this and address it in their own ways.

That really leaves one question.
How many young people, with no comorbidities are actually affected, beyond short term, or flu like symptoms, or killed?

people seem to want to pack everything in one little box, nice and neat. Wrap it up and call it good.
The vast numbers hide facts.
One box holds age.
Within that box needs to be boxes for comorbidities or none.
Within comorbidities need to be boxes for each specific comorbidity.
Each seperate comorbidity needs to be weighted or given a specific value, as not all comorbidity is equal in its affect or being affected.

Most people are unable
or unwilling
to comprehend that Covid (as well as life in general) doesn't fit neatly into one single box.

You do what the MSM does. For example when Syrian migrants were pouring across the border it was 99% males. But the MSM zoomed in on the two or there females and children in the group to give a false impression. You are using MSM/Nazi propaganda tactics. Not sure why.

Sorry, my bad—I thought central_va was the poster, not ChicagoConservative27. I should have called out ChicagoConservative27.

Yes, I am calling out anyone who thinks that COVID-19 is harmless. It’s not. I don’t think we need to shut down our country for it, but people who think that only the fat and elderly are affected are a bunch of idiots.

Obesity increases the amount of ACE 2 receptors. This the receptor that the virus needs to attach and infect a cell.

Also was he given HCQ early on?

The only death by covid in our township was a 18 year old senior high school student. She was captain of the crew team and appeared healthy. Unfortunately she had an underlying medical condition of childhood diabetes.

Classifying the virus as harmless to the young is appropriate and the truth.
