Early voting in KY
Flatulus Maximus

Posted on 10/29/2020 5:11:03 PM PDT by FlatulusMaximus

Sorry to create a new thread, but could not find the earlier one to describe our early voting experience. (I did try!) Anyway, the Missus and I voted today in Rowan County, KY. It was fine: very relaxed and friendly, no lines at all. (Please assure Mr. Hinderaker at Powerline that I don't intend to change my vote for President Trump!) In fact, it felt so nice I may do it twice....

Biden would have Beto ride around on his skateboard and take everyone’s guns. I’m sure that is a winning proposition in Kentucky.

There’s gonna be a blue moon over Kentucky on The 31st. I was born in Christian county Ky, raised in Andrew county Mo, currently reside in Bonneville county Id. Wonder if I can vote for Trump once in each?

Applied, received, filled out, and returned absentee ballots.

The Board of Elections, via email, confirmed our votes have been received and tallied. No Covid interference for this household.

Record your vote in person as soon as possible. Bank the vote in case of bad weather, family emergency, etc. Also, networks release the early vote first so that is why Clinton had a lead in so many Red States to start the night. It does influence voters in line in Western States.

You never know little king Andy might close us down again by Royal decree. Only the corners of the golden triangle will go blue in Ky.

I didn’t think of that. And certainly wouldn’t rule out one a new ‘decree’ as often as he spits them out. I was thinking more of ‘unrest’ and sabotage. Hard to say if vote if safer if done prior or on same day.

Early voting in Boone County KY. Lines out the door and winding around the parking lot. Cars going in and out constantly all day. Today it was pouring rain and the line was still as long.

Do the students at Morehead State exert any influence on local elections?

Voted in Union County Wednesday, almost started jumping up and down with joy when they said “You can not vote without a picture ID.” Around here in Western Kentucky, the dead vote early and often.

Hmm. The short answer is I don’t know. We haven’t lived here long, and this is our first vote as Kentuckians. MSU does represent a large portion of Rowan County’s population, so it’s very possible. We’re actually just over the Bath county line now, having just moved into a permanent residence. My wife did some demographic research on both counties before we moved here, and both lean toward Democrat. But to be honest, I haven’t met many outspoken liberals here yet!
