We wonder why does the left engage in hypocrisy? With COVID see examples of hypocrisy with Pelosi, Witmer, De Blasio, Lightfoot, Cuomo, etc. I finally think I have the solution. These people don't mind being called hypocrites because it shows the world that they are elite, they are above the rules for the masses. So hypocrisy is now virtue signaling that you are an elite, that you are special, that you are exempt -- you are the ruling class and almost an aristocrat. As an aristocrat or part of the religious "elect" you find special favor and exemption from wrong doing. Nothing touches you and you are accountable to no one.
Another point worthy of consideration. Did Hunter Biden hated his dad. If so, why? Because his dad favored the son who died? And Hunter could never live up to his dead brother... so... he sabotaged his dad by leaving the laptop at the computer store. The emails show Hunter resenting his dad. Hunter tells us he feels he doesn't have enough respect from his dad. A son who is a just a bagman can never live up to a dead brother -- who can do no wrong -- might just sabotage his father. I heard Rush say the same thing about sabotaging the dad and it confirms my suspicions.
None of this is terribly new. In Protestant denominations from the past, people of the elite or "the select" were free to experience sin and were exempt from any punishments. As well, the psychology of "favorites" plays out today as it has done in the past. Just look to the Bible for evidence of that.
It is interesting to see hypocrisy and favoritism play out in the left. Any insights are appreciated.
Better hope that the Count doesn’t suck Hunter’s blood, he would be in a coma from the drugs.

The left engages in hypocrisy for the same reason you do and the same reason I do. It’s our moms excuse too. Hypocrisy is a universal human condition.

Yeah, I don’t envy them. Millions mean nothing. They are awash with money but it seems to mean nothing.
