I wanted to share these two websites, one is a YouTube alternative and one is a Facebook alternative.
These were created by the maker of the FB Purity extension/add-on that can be downloaded to help weed out the garbage that is in Facebook and also revert the website back to it's original format.

That needs to be fixed. I assume it will in time,
roxycast looks interesting. I never liked the other fb alternatives...they don’t work right. But looks like it has 0 users on it. However, I hope it takes off as I like that it looks and appears to act like facebook.

I think Roxycast is very, very brand new, and yes I like that it looks like Facebook without being Facebook. I’m hoping it takes off.

Thanks, we need to get all the alt social media options out there and let them go through the sorting out process. From that will emerge platforms that can give YT, FB, Twitter, etc a run for their money. Just remember, the monetization model will have to change to stay out from under the whims of advertisers. Everyone needs to be willing to spend $5/month or so to support their platforms of choice, otherwise they will fall into the same rut the current incumbents are in.
