(Vanity) Look at the threatening spam mail a friend got...you're gonna LOVE this

A friend of mine got this via email yesterday. It reads as follows:

"(Friend's Name) we are in possession of all your information (email, address, phone...everything). You are currently registered as a Democrat and we know this because we have gained access to the entire voting infrastructure. You will vote for Trump on Election day or we will come after you. Change your party affiliation Republican so we know you received our message and will comply. We know which candidate you voted for. I would take this seriously if I were you."

Okay, a couple things...One, my friend who got this is law enforcement officer. Two, I doubt he has EVER voted Democrat any time in his entire life. I find this amusing because they got it SO wrong...but I also find it scary because at the beginning of the email, they used his full name.

I hope this was someone's idea of a joke.

It’s probably from the DNC in an attempt to make it look like the GOP is rigging the election.

I saw this on a note left at a home around Tampa last week. I sent the document to our FDLE lab and completed a report.

Was this in Florida? CBS radio news had it on at 6AM today. Of course, they never mentioned the threats of arson in MO and NH.

I saw a similar note from somebody on Twitter saying to make sure you have fire coverage on your home because they (Antifa) will be in that neighborhood and the house would burn. The person that posted the picture was the person that received the note.

Threatening emails to Democratic voters spark investigations in Florida and Alaska

"Authorities in Florida and Alaska on Tuesday were investigating threatening emails sent to Democratic voters that claimed to be from the Proud Boys, a far-right group supportive of President Donald Trump, but appeared instead to be a deceptive campaign making use of a vulnerability in the organization's online network."

Exactly. There are credible reports of threatening letters being sent out to registered Republicans.

This is meant to muddy the waters, but is nonsensical anyway.

I'd be tempted to reply with "Okay, I'll vote for Trump!"

Because it's probably liberals trying to associate Trump with threat in people's minds.

I got one informing me they had my password and if I didn’t call some number to pay they’d lock my email account. I simply hit the delete button. One can always use the cell phone option to re-active an email account so long as you have one attached to it. So ignore stupid stuff like that, but yes I did immediately change my password just in case.

Trying to set up Proud Boys. In day or two these”threats” will be waved around by the Left to ‘prove” that right wing extremists are a threat to society and need to be squashed.

Someone is sending them to Republicans, in the reverse. The left loves chaos.

People have gotten spam emails presuming that the person receiving it is watching porn and threatening to expose them for it.

they claim they were able to turn on the computer’s camera and video them doing what people do when watching porn and try to blackmail them for money.

This sounds like the same thing.

Nobody knows how you vote especially when you use paper ballots.

I just got a message from the guy this was sent to. The header said ‘proudboys.com’, but he dug into it and it was from someplace entirely different.
