The 2020 Jets are on pace to be arguably the worst team in NFL modern history.
Let that swirl around your head for a minute.
No, this is not hyperbole. The 0-6 Jets are heading toward finishing as one of the worst teams ever, maybe the worst team ever, barring a dramatic turnaround.
The Jets have 10 games left, so there is time. But is there hope? Of the Jets remaining games, seven are against teams that are currently .500 or better. Two of those games against teams under .500 are against the Patriots. Does anyone expect the Jets to beat the Patriots? They have three games against teams in first place.

Living in Jacksonville, I can attest they are the worst in the NFL and the worst team they’ve had since they began, which is saying something..
Worse than the 76-78 Tampa Bay Buccaneers? Damn!
Reporter: “Coach, how do you feel about your teams execution.”
John McKay: “I’m in favor of it.”
“We didnt tackle well today but we made up for it by not blocking.”
“Emotion is highly overrated in football. My wife Corky is emotional as hell but cant play football worth a damn.”
“Kickers are like horse manure. Theyre all over the place.”
“If you have everyone back from a team that lost ten games, the experience isnt too important.”
On the Joe Namaths play during the Jets 34-0 victory over Tampa Bay, Namath is still Namath, but I must say that our guys were nice to him. I noticed when they knocked him down, they helped him to his feet. That was gentlemanly. I thought one stood around long enough to get his autograph.
Reporter: Coach, how do you feel about your teams execution.
John McKay: Im in favor of it.
An all time classic reply to a reporter...and quite Trump-like.
Lol..try being a lions fan.
I’m in Jax (St. Johns), too. not really watching the Jags games but the sports radio post game is quite entertaining. What a train wreck. Ha ha.
Oh, they are going nuts here in Dallas. I am laughing my ass off.
The sad thing is, the Cowboys are still in first place in their division.
sorry but that prize goes to the lions
...I know.
The Old Head Ball Coach played QB on that Tampa team. I think he got a lot his personality from McKay.
Who knows? They’re making this up as they go along.
The NFL has managed the closest approximation to a normal season of the major sports leagues, at least so far.
Who has paid attention to the shortened season of baseball, or the “instant playoff” formats of basketball and hockey?
I do find it entertaining the post game radio shows, especially the callers....at least they have now pointed out the real issue, it’s ownership...
If he doesn’t care, no one else does, if you look at Khan’s NFL and EPL teams, they have been horrible since he took over.....I have no confidence they will get any better even though they have a ton of draft picks..
Lions....1 playoff win in 63 years.....63!!...how is that even possible??...yeesh.
Tampa Bay was a first year expansion team so there is an excuse.
At least it was against the Cowboys. What a glorious day it was, to wear my Lions hat here in DFW that day.
Yep, at least the Jets have won a Super Bowl.
Lions: "Hold my Stroh's..."
I believe Sam Darnold is a good QB. The Jets have some pieces. They need a new coach and a new GM. It won’t be turned around this season though. It is always puzzling to me how some teams get mired in mediocrity - or worse - and can’t seem to get out of it, whereas others remain competitive through various personnel and coaching changes. Redskins (oops!), Lions, Jets being three examples.
Was that the Rich Kotite era?!
i thought for sure one of those Barry Sanders teams would at least make it to the SB....man, he was fun to watch.
The Lions also posted an 0 - 16 season.
