Let's see: First, we hear that movie theaters are in trouble. Now, it's Broadway closed until next summer at least.

There are people who enjoy those things...this is NOT winning.

True, people do enjoy these things.
But getting a PC lecture at every movie and half of the Broadway plays is getting tiresome. So, if all this COVID-19 business forces these industries to retrench and maybe go back to being escapist entertainment, that’s a major win in my book!

NYC got what they voted for. Yup. The Metropolitan Opera is also closed through *September* 2021.
Total insanity.
How are these places - and area restaurants, bars and hotels - supposed to stay in business for the long haul? I don't get it.

What will the $250,000 per year union carpenters do? Excellent point... all those Teamsters. There are massive crews of stagehands, electricians, carpenters, etc. at NYC's Metropolitan Opera as well. The Met Opera is closed through *September* 2021.

I don't see how NYC will ever come back.
The Democrats destroyed it. It's what they (D's) do.

That’s a LOT of Tax Revenue NYC is NOT going to see. And, good.
I DO feel sorry for the other businesses that have been hurt by this - ticket scalpers, restaurants, clothing stores for fancy clothes to wear to the theater, cabbies, printers who would print the programs and posters, vendors for all of the play memorabilia, etc.

So Hollywood remakes are gone, now broadway remakes are gone. Trying to squirt a tear right now.
