Most people dont know their neighbors very well, or even at all, anymore. At the same time i suspect the tv volume was loud enough their words could have been put in proper context.

Ok on a more serious note. Why would the police respond to a call like this? are they that incompetent or is something else going on.

If the NBA playoffs went differently, this story would be taking place in Toronto during a Toronto Raptors playoff game, with the fan also yelling “Shoot! Shoot” and the caller having no idea that there WAS an NBA, much less that a Canadian team was far into the playoffs.
