Do they really? Barnes says Barrett is much more authoritarian (supports lockdowns and forced vaccinations) yet Lagoa has a good record as a constitutionalist.
Is he wrong?
Lagoa has a very thin record and only about a year on the Federal bench. She has ties to the Bushes so I really think she’s much more likely a trojan horse than Barret who clerked for Scalia and has a much longer history of Conservative Originalist decisions.
Barrett is as originalist as they come. She’s shown the most willingness to overturn precedent if it conflicts with the Constitution.
