Speaking Friday at a union training center in Hermantown, outside Duluth, Biden sought to counter the presidents pitch to Minnesota's working-class voters, ticking off Trump policies and remarks that Biden said reflect the president's disdain for them.
Like a lot of you, I spent a lot of my life with people like Donald Trump looking down on me, said Biden, stressing his modest upbringing in Scranton, Pa., and state college pedigree.
These are the guys that always thought they were better than me, better than us, because they had a lot of money," Biden said. "Guys who inherited everything they got and still managed to squander it. I have to admit I have just a little bit of a chip on my shoulder about these guys.
Biden, his voice growing angry, shifted from attacking a Trump tax plan he warned would leave billionaires paying a lower rate than the laborers in the room, to what he portrayed as the president's bungled and cavalier response to a pandemic that has killed nearly 200,000 Americans.
He doesnt have a clue how to be president, Biden said.
He condemned Trumps frequent citing of stock market gains to gauge the well-being of American workers. About 52% of American families have some investments on Wall Street, mostly through retirement accounts.
Trump says, Everyone is in the stock market. What the hell is he talking about? said Biden. I have a different measure from which I judge the health of the American economy. My measure is Scranton, Duluth, Hermantown. I see hardworking women and men just trying to earn an honest living to take care of their families.

You can say a lot of things about Donald Trump that are less than salubrious, some of them might even be true. One thing I’ve never heard is that he looks down on people less wealthy than himself.
Not to mention, Biden isn’t exactly a pauper himself.
MN, NY and CA could all be in play this year, but it might take a little more help from their tyrant oppressors’.
These are the guys that always thought they were better than me, better than us, because they had a lot of money,” Biden said. “Guys who inherited everything they got and still managed to squander it. I have to admit I have just a little bit of a chip on my shoulder about these guys.
Biden continued: “I mean, I’m like all of you - salt of the earth folks in Hermantown. Work hard for a living. You and me? Working at the same job for 47 years. We don’t have the billions of dollars Trump has. I know what it means to be worth only $9 million.”
Like a lot of you, I spent a lot of my life with people like Donald Trump looking down on me, said Biden, stressing his modest upbringing in Scranton, Pa.

Biden was 7 years old when his family left Scranton. He’s been in DC since he was 1st elected at the age of 30. Not exactly working class Joe.
Biden has been in Congress for 47 years.
He’s NEVER worked for a living.
“”””I have a different measure from which I judge the health of the American economy. My measure is Scranton, Duluth, Hermantown. I see hardworking women and men just trying to earn an honest living to take care of their families.””””
Did he bother to mention the millions of jobs he sent to China?
With the democratic leftist Burn Loot and Mayhem attacks on Minneapolis. Minnesotans will almost certainly vote for PDJT. They are usually leftist hit theyre not insane nor suicidal.
With the Scotus nomination vote coming up, this race is over for biden
Rats need to start worrying about losing the house
Basements can get cold in the winter in Minnesoter, Basementman. Wear some Hunter’s clothing to bed sumbeotch.
Biden came from a wealthy family.
It is Biden who looks down on people below him, Biden who has spent 47 years in the D.C. bubble.
In any political lineup Biden would always bat eighth.
My measure is Scranton, Duluth, Hermantown. I see hardworking women and men just trying to earn an honest living to take care of their families.................................. Who are employed by those rich guys who inherited or became rich making their own corporations and expanding, thus hiring more employees.
Friday was Opposite Day. Actually, whenever a leftist opens his/her/it/we/they/alien mouth(s), you know to believe the opposite.
He is full of BS. I sure hope Wallace has the fairness to ask him about son Hunters employment.
I throw up a little every time he recalls his mother, father, grandfather, etc. call him Joey. What phony crap.
President Trump energetically and tirelessly travels all over the country to massive rallies.
Biden makes one trip to make an 18 minute rambling babbling speech to a gathering smaller than a kindergarten class reunion.
Media claims Biden is ahead in polls.
Not the “Can I get me a huntin’ license here?” kind of hunter? LOL! Seriously, mr oil won’t be menitoned because it’s, well, rip van byeDUHns first wife was killed in a car accident and you just don’t bring up the kids. Even for coke use. Or being expelled from the Navy. Or for making a fortune from highly questionable chinese connections. One of my brothers in law was a teamster for years and admitted that the cast a YUGE part in his politics in supporting the left over the years. ‘16, he voted for PDJT and he plans to do it again this time. He has more thank you cards and certificates from the RNC than you can shake a stick at. There is hope.
Trump talked about that in his speech in Bemijdi.
“Wasn’t it great - seeing our National Guard in Minneapolis!? What was it - a half-hour? And the rioting stopped?”
“If not - today you would be saying, “Minneapolis! That was a great place, nothing left now though - it’s all burned down.”.
He made his speech in a private event, which I hear only had 3 people. He did show up on the street in Duluth as people were going to vote early. In his visit to Minnesota he probably interacted with less than a dozen people. I also took a quick look at youtube and see that his speech in Hermantown has been viewed about 55,000 times. Trump spoke to what the local media described as “a sea of red, easily 10 times the limit on outdoor events”, so probably about 3,000 or more.
