THIS week a friend told me about an elderly relative who died a few weeks ago from emphysema. The poor man, a lifelong smoker, had been slowly suffocating for a year or more. He wasn’t expected to make it past May. Sure enough, he died before the month was out. Of emphysema.
But his death certificate recorded that he’d been carried off by Covid-19.
A blood test a few days before his death showed the patient had the virus, although he wasn’t displaying symptoms of anything other than the lung condition about to kill him.
On Wednesday Public Health England - surely the most useless, unfit-for-purpose organisation in the land - finally admitted what many of us have long suspected: large numbers of deaths attributed to the coronavirus were in fact completely unrelated to the disease.
A whopping great 10 percent, in fact. So down goes the death toll from the virus at a stroke, from 46,526 to 41,874.
It’s also emerged that England’s death rate has been falling a lot faster than official figures showed. In fact it looks now as if the country had its first completely death-free day on Thursday August 6...
The trashing of the economy, the worst recession in our history, avoidable deaths at home with people too frightened to go to hospital for fear of catching the virus, chaos in education, the explosion in domestic violence, steep rises in anxiety, depression, and heavy drinking?
Lockdown will come to be seen as one of the most catastrophic misjudgments a British government has ever made.
In Sweden, which kept schools open, businesses running and the economy in top gear, there have been fewer deaths per capita than in Britain...
You don’t need to drive your economy into a brick wall and put the fear of God into the public.
A great reckoning is coming.

While Victorian health authorities are confident the state has hit the peak of the second wave of the coronavirus, there are fears about the situation in NSW.
The NSW Government recommends people wear face masks on public transport and when they can’t physically distance to help prevent the spread of the virus.
The President of the NSW branch of the Australian Medical Association, Dr Danielle McMullen, is encouraging people to wear masks INDOORS, and says people need to take the threat of Covid-19 seriously. She’s been speaking to ABC NewsRadio’s Cameron Green.

I wonder how many other countries lie as badly about Covid cases and deaths as the US does.
These threads are worthless since the data is BS.
I have been tracking both numbers each day since early June.
Total Positive Tests divided by Total Tests Administered has stayed within a range of 8% to 11% for the last ten weeks.
That range has been 8.0% to 8.2% for the last four weeks.
In my opinion, the PCR tests are so sensitive they show positive results for people who got infected months ago.
For instance, George Floyd, the knee-on-neck guy, tested positive the day he died, even though he had tested positive the first time 8 weeks earlier.
Bottom Line...
About 10% of the USA population has been infected, and probably higher.
The Case Fatality Rate for COVID (assuming 33 million infected) has stayed at 0.5% for more than a month.
The CFR for a bad flu season is around 0.15%.
The COVID death toll has been massively over counted when compared to influenza and common cold viruses.
“Presumed” COVID cases are counted as “confirmed” cases.
And, 100% of COVID + pneumonia deaths, and 100% of COVID + ARDS deaths, are counted as 100% COVID deaths.
Nothing like that happens when flu and common cold deaths are counted.
COVID is a dangerous disease for the elderly and the infirm.
Everyone else, please go back to your normal life!
When the truth comes out that this whole WuFlu thing was a plan by the democRATS and their communist partners the Chinese to wreck the US economy to prevent President Trumps re-election, will anyone be held accountable?
That is what this is, a treasonous attempt to affect the election.
Depending on the results of November 3rd. If Trump wins, he will go after his opponents. No school? No federal funds. If Biden wins, the Democrats will say “the gig’s up, let’s return to normal”.
