WWE legend Marty Jannetty claims self-defense from ‘rape’ amid police probe

After an apparent murder confession in a since-deleted Facebook post sparked a police investigation in Georgia, former WWE star Marty Jannetty claimed he was defending himself from someone who was trying to sexually assault him.

“I almost got raped. If I couldn’t have handled myself, that dude would’ve raped me,” the 60-year-old Jannetty said in an interview on the Boston Wrestling MWF YouTube channel. “I didn’t say I killed him. I said he disappeared.”

Jannetty, who wrote in the Facebook post he “made a man disappear,” said he wanted to buy marijuana, and the front desk clerk at a local bowling alley in Columbus, Ga., was known to sell it. “What I didn’t know was he lured in little kids,” said Jannetty, who added he was 13 years old at the time.

Jannetty said he went into the man’s car to complete the transaction. “But he reached over and grabbed me down there. And he goes, ‘What’s this?’ And I was like, ‘Nah, nah.'”

According to Jannetty, the “big” man dragged him out of the car and toward the back of the bowling alley, where he allegedly tried to take Jannetty’s pants off.

“I probably don’t need to say this, but there was a brick laying there,” Jannetty said. “What I said in my Facebook post, I’m not gonna lie about nothing, What do you do when you’re 13?”

“I can’t say he deserved to be kill — I didn’t say I killed him. I can’t say he deserved to die, but he deserved to get his ass beat. And when I was beating him in the head with a brick, I was only trying to beat his ass. I wasn’t trying to kill him,” Jannetty added.

In the Facebook post, Jannetty said the man he made “disappear” was never found and that authorities “shoulda looked in the [Chattahoochee] River.”

“Can you imagine dragging a guy — he’s just tried to f–- you in the ass — can you imagine dragging him to the river and throwing him in? And then finding out on the news the dude’s missing? You know the dude. And you know more than that. That f–-ing affected me bad, bro,” Jannetty said in the Boston Wrestling interview.

TMZ reported Columbus police were investigating the apparent confession. The alleged incident would’ve taken place around 1973.

Alternate source from the DM:

Cops launch probe after WWE legend Marty Jannetty, 60, posts a 'murder confession' on Facebook - claiming he 'made a man disappear' when he was 13

Columbus Police Department told TMZ they have launched an investigation into the former wrestler's confession.

'We are going to look into this,' a police spokesman told the outlet.

'The first step will be seeing if we have any missing persons or unidentified remains cases that match the limited information in the post.'

I don’t believe anyone could ever keep a secret like this forever, but I don’t know why someone would put it on Facebook! Unless it was a joke.

Good for Marty. Sometimes a man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta to. Especially when Sodomites are active.

Even if he said, “I killed this guy”...he can’t be prosecuted on this alone. If it happened, it was 47 years ago.

The police could go back to the town he lived in at the time and look for any missing persons reports or bodies discovered, but it’s a long shot.

well they could start an investigation though if the comment was made in a less joking more serious matter and that something actually did occur

murder has no statute of limitations

but self defense from a violent attack is allowed as well

perhaps he should have kept his flipping mouth shut instead of posting it out on facebook

He was 13 at the time. So worse case they prosecute him as a juvenile, and he gets locked up until he’s 21. Which was in 1981.

I do. I believe people are quite capable of concealing a murder they committed, especially if they think it was done as Self Defense or righteous retribution.
This does not make it right in any way, but may rationalize the deed just enough to live with it.

He may written it on FB because of a brain injury that impairs judgement. Other old wrestlers are constantly getting into trouble with things they are saying on social media. I think it is from CTE or the cocaine.
