(Reuters) - A U.S. judge late on Monday ordered all local boards of election in New York state to count “thousands” of absentee ballots received the day after a congressional primary held last June 23 but previously disqualified because of postmark problems.
According to the ruling by Judge Analisa Torres of Federal District Court in Manhattan, the absentee ballots are to be counted “without regard to whether such ballots are postmarked by June 23.” Carolyn Maloney, the Democratic Party incumbent, got 40.29% of votes previously counted, while challenger Suraj Patel received 38.43%.
The ruling also ordered ballots received on June 25 be counted, as long as such ballots are not postmarked later than June 23. It wasn’t immediately clear exactly how many ballots were affected.

New York was one of five states that conducted statewide primaries in June, encouraging mail-in balloting as a safe alternative to in-person voting during the coronavirus pandemic, bringing record numbers of absentee ballot requests.
According to the ruling, there is “uncontroverted evidence” that thousands of absentee ballots were not postmarked.

So six weeks after the election....it’s still not over? What does that really say for a modern society or ‘trust’ in the system to work?
We might as well predict that the mass chaos in November and December will occur in NY state, and their EC votes, and even their House of Representative seats...won’t be determined until early January at best.
From what I just heard, the counting of this one may not be over until Thanksgiving.

In case anyone didn’t guess from the lawless ruling, this so-called judge was a Barack Hussein appointee. Yes, Obama judges exist, and they are all corrupt tyrants.
If it makes anyone feel any better, NYS is likely looking at a loss of at least two House seats after the next census. So less power in the chamber with the power of the purse.
Sucks to be us, but great news for the republic.
My big question is: will the shooting start before election day, between election day and Jan 20, or after Jan 20?
Imagine even 10 states pulling this crap in November. HELL NO.

Well, duh... they wouldn’t need a postmark when transported by a DNC-provided SUV.
Clearly, they want the November election results to be delayed until it is too late. Nancy Pelosi will be president.
Theoretically, that proviso is in the Constitution so that we will always have a President/Commander-in-Chief so that if (let’s say) Canada attacks us after a contested election, we will still have a clear leader and won’t be vulnerable.
But I suspect that Nancy will see herself as a Dictator and will make very bold moves “just because she can”.
Aren’t there laws regarding what may be counted? How can there not be and how can a judge order otherwise?
You’d think this would kill talk of mail-in ballots.

We would become Canada’s southern provinces if Canada attacked with any Democrat in office of the President.
The New York Board of Elections provided pre-paid envelopes to mail in the ballots - the kind that say First Class Permit on them. The post office does not normally postmark such envelopes. The Board of Elections asked the Post Office to stamp them with a postmark anyway, but as you know, the Post Office is not the world’s most efficient organization.
About 1/3 of these envelopes arrived in the mail without a postmark, some before the election date, some after.
Ironically, my son tells me that many of the liberals he knows have the exact same fear of vote fraud though the mail in ballot scheme that we do.
Which is a good thing because then they are going to be far less likely to push for it, thinking that they will win this way.
Funny thing is, it’s beginning to look like Biden is not going to make it as the presidential candidate, but the dems have NO ONE ELSE to put forth as a viable option.
My son thinks that they will con Cuomo into it, but we don’t know if he’ll take it. I suspect he’d rather be governor where he can do what he wants, big fish in a small pond thing.
But it says volumes about the democrats that they have nobody with enough name recognition or support to nominate in his place.
Setting the stage for November.
Election night you determine how many votes you need to flip the election from the Republican who won.
You shove them in the mail box, tens of thousands of them.
Then you find the democrat judge and demand these late ballots be counted. The democrat judge agrees, and makes it apply to the whole nation.
Trump takes the case to the Supreme Court, who approves of the late ballot harvest 5-4, with Roberts the deciding vote.
There is no “law” anymore. Only political hacks.
