It’s a shame the “task force” to my knowledge has not ever mentioned Vit D status. It would probably have an effect on the regular flu season as well if people would consider these 3 supplements.

Thanks for this info-filled thread. I started boosting zinc back in May after reading lots of mentions in places like FR. I even found it on the shelf of my local pharmacy. It has since become unavailable there so I picked up a magnesium-calcium-zinc-D3 formulation from Amazon. My wife got COVID in June and I cared for her without being afflicted. We both have since had negative swab tests and I’m continuing what I found on Amazon. I shall carefully consider adding Qercetin.

I don’t think they want us to know but if I escape illness come Fall and Winter, I will know it has to do with my taking D3, Zinc, Magnesium and a few other vitamins. I started this regimen in mid-March.

Oh, exactly. People are just not grasping this basic fact: if the number of tests indicating exposure (positive "cases") shot sky-high but people were experiencing very mild symptoms or no symptoms at all, that would be a very *good* thing --- yay! more positive tests! record high numbers! --- because it indicates people exposed to the virus are not getting sick. This is what we call "immunity".

Immunity is our GOAL, people. Remember?

BTW, Zelenko does not treat all comers. He separates his patients into two groups based on their age, commodities, over-all fragility or vulnerability (he "risk stratifies"), tells the young and healthy to go back home and maybe take a few Zinc lozenges and Vitamin C (like you would for any minor URVI)--- and then he treats with Zelenko Protocol only those clinically judged to be high-risk.

So he's not padding his stats with lots of sturdy young fellows who would have gotten better regardless; he's treating ONLY the ones most likely to be risking hospitalization if the disease were to progress. Old, obese, hypertensive, COPD, diabetic, etc.

That's why his record of keeping his people out of the hospital, most of them virus-free in 5 days, is so impressive.

Odd concept, hey? Treat the sick. Let everybody else just get with their life.
