(snip) During a two-minute long YouTube video, Goodenough described the incident from his point of view.(snip) When Google Maps reportedly alerted them of a potential accident at an intersection, Goodenough said they rerouted the directions and took the next available on-ramp onto Interstate 225.
'We did notice that there were Black Lives Matter protesters on all sides of the street trying to stop traffic.' said Goodenough.
'We then avoided any pedestrians in the roadways and continued onto the freeway. There was no police barricade that stopped us.'(snip)
Goodenough noted that demonstrators were on the side of the road, as well as standing in the middle of the highway.
He claimed protesters began throwing 'projectiles' at the vehicle and 'trying to get in front of the vehicle with bats to damage the vehicle.'
Goodenough said they avoided pedestrians with the Jeep, but a white pickup truck began driving next to them and crashed into their car.
Sebastian Sassi, the driver of the white pickup truck, later told the Colorado Sentinel that he intervened because he believed the blue Jeep was going to hit and possibly kill demonstrators that day.
Goodenough confirmed that claim in the YouTube video and the white pickup truck 'intentionally crashed into us and described us as having murderous intent for going towards airport.'
'Once this white pickup truck did crash into us, a man with a bat then approached the vehicle and began swinging at the vehicle,' he said.
'We then proceeded to speed off to avoid any potential damage to ourselves and the vehicle.'
Goodenough said the Jeep sped off because the driver wanted to avoid any damage to the vehicle and themselves. That's when a gunmen opened fire on the highway and fired off seven rounds.

Several years ago we were on our way to some forsaken sector of WV to get a new futon for the dogs’ sofa.
It got dark and we were headed up a nearly vertical mountain when “her voice” slyly said “TURN RIGHT YOU HAVE REACHED YOUR DESTINATION”.
I could still see well enough to know that a right turn was a thousand foot drop off down the stony mountainside, guarded only by a flimsy cable between posts.
So I ignored it and drove on to the top of the mountain where I could see dim lights, which caused hubby AND the map voice to start screaming in unison TURN RIGHT TURN RIGHT TURN RIGHT NOW!!!
Not today, Google.

I’m sorry for laughing but I totally get that.
I live where the signal gets iffy in a lot of places and I swear, Google just makes it up as it goes along.

I suspect my iPhone is confused, then.
Whenever I look up some store or other, it asks to use “my location”.
Not once has it ever gotten it right and it varies from random places all over the east coast and occasionally states out west.
If they ever need its signal to triangulate my location to save my life, I’m screwed.

As a right wing website turning right is usually applauded but not in that case.
I won’t use GPS at all. I use maps. They are harder to find but they are out there. My kids all learned to read roadmaps and all prefer them. I have noticed that some people with GPS don’t notice anything until the voice directs them to notice something, like a turn. They have not looked a map, even a google map on line and if they get a bum steer they get no clue before they drive into the cow pasture and finally realize there is no pavement under them.

Mr White Truck was driving with reckless disregard for everyone else. Had he caused the Jeep to lose control there could have been a mass casualty event of his making.
I prefer maps as well. I am aware of my surroundings and look forward to making upcoming entries, exits, and turns. “Looks like my exit is coming up. Better get in the right lane...” It’s like a game.

We have real-life examples of how to take care of this. When commie savages tried to shutdown the Milwaukee freeway, Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke moved his deputies in and arrested or removed all the commie rioters.
The solution is for conservatives to elect pro-2nd amendment, constitutional sheriffs in their counties. That sheriff has the legal and armed muscle to take care of rioters. And he is accountable to the constituents who elect him, not to commie mayors, city councils or governors.
The sheriff also has the legal right to preserve order by deputizing 2,000 heavily armed individuals from the VFW, American Legion and Marine Corps League.
In Texas the State Troopers can intervene no matter how corrupt the locals are.
Recall in Austin where the way drunk fat woman pulled the “DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM???” when she was given a field sobriety test. State Troopers didn’t intervene but Austin is a lost cause.

We call it the “_itch in a box”. I always take wrong turns and boy does she get mad. I was driving in Vegas from one friends house to another. Got on the freeway headed south and soon she told me to get off. I really had no idea where I was going so complied. About 30 minutes later I get a phone call...where the heck are you? Ummmm on Rainbow. What are you doing there? Following my GPS. lol I made it eventually but.....
