Massachusetts senators unanimously agreed Tuesday that a panel should suggest a new state seal to replace the 122-year-old version that Native Americans largely view as symbolizing white supremacist violence.
The Senate voted 39-0 to approve a Sen. Jason Lewis resolve forming a special commission tasked with designing a new seal and state motto and with studying ways that the existing version, which depicts a Native man standing beneath a disembodied arm and sword, "may be unwittingly harmful to or misunderstood by the citizens of the commonwealth."

Here they go again. Erasing any trace of Native Americans in our culture. Apparently they really hate Indians.
Don’t state senators have anything better to do? What a meaningless waste. Worrying that somebody somewhere somehow may be offended. They should unanimously be removed from office. It’s an action that is both waste and abuse.
The new seal will no doubt include a penis, vagina, and a rectum.

Democrats are simply doing what they have always done since 1830; kicking out the Indians and keeping the land. Starting with Andrew Jackson, to the Land-o-lakes Squaw, to the Massachusetts Seal...
Massachusetts sinks into the quagmire of the decadence of Western Civilisation.
I believe that is Massasoit, for whom the state was named. A few wilting flowers have the control and they will not go willingly as long as they can change anything they complain about.
If they studied the intended meanings of the various parts of the seal, imparted to it in the laws enacting it, they would not object to it.
Yes, Massachusetts is not an “Indian” state, but the Indian on the seal is as much honoring the “natives” of Massachusetts as the arm holding a sword honors the war of independence from Britain - seeking peace but not peace without Liberty.
