Unfortunately that probably won’t help you. Ignorance of the law is no excuse, and all that.

Awhile back I was talking to an NRA lawyer. He said that cops in DC will arrest you even if you are in compliance with the DC firearm transportation laws. And no DC judge will be in any hurry to release you.

His advice was to stay out of DC, Baltimore, and New York City in particular.

Or don’t carry if you have to be in DC.

I have wondered too if police know that you have a permit if when they pull you over.

Very easy advice to follow. Better yet, just avoid the whole of New England. Mebbe just stay South of the Mason-Dixon? Exception to Atlanta.
